Voice Eclipse, USLEC Ticker CLEC Voice Eclipse unable to fax, no caller name on caller ID, cannot use merchant card machine not mentioned any where on website! Schaumburg Illinois

As you all know telephone and internet are very expensive so we cancelled Verizon and went with Voice Eclipse (USLEC) in order to both cut down on our telephone bill, and utilize the Comcast high speed internet which is the highest in the country here at $42.95/ mo for the 6 mb deal.

Setup was easy and the home office is now pretty much completely wireless however I wasn't able to fax out. I checked the connections and eventually going to a pack and ship store who charged $28.00 to fax 14 pages. No big deal. Then the orders started coming in I mean big time. The credit card merchant terminal wouldn't work so I couldn't process their business and had to send them elsewhere.

Today I waited 20 minutes on the phone in order to get a voice mail for tech support. I left a voice mail with three questions:

1.) On your site you advertise caller id, however there is no name, just a number.
2.) I cannot send faxes from my fax machine, why?
3.) I cannot process credit card transactions through my merchant terminal.

A technical representative did call me back some time later and said that "we are not set up for that", and that was it. No attempt at account retention or anything, I still queried him on the fax and merchant terminal "won't work" he said. What's up with that?
It wasn't the $28.00 fax, but the $13,000 credit transactions that I turned away.

Here's what: We'll sue them under MGL 93A for treble damages and deliver up the same, or go to the press. None of these limitations which one would expect to continue using a voice telephone are listed anywhere on their website.
