The company WAK Solutions offered me a job as a phone dispatcher earlier this month. A couple weeks later, they decided that it was necessary to "run a background check" and I scanned them a copy of my Social Security card, Drivers License and a copy of my certified birth certificate. They are claiming I don't exist which is preposterous. They say they can't find anything on me, though my name or SS has not changed since the day I was born. This was nothing but a ploy to get a hold of my SS # and DL #, possibly for ID theft purposes. I am on guard about this since this happened to me almost 2 years ago. Suffice it to say, I didnt get the job once they got all of my sensitive info. Kelsie (which is likely not her real name) has the final say and is the only one I have dealt with. This stinks of a total scam to have a job, then suddenly lose my job because they can't verify that I am a US citizen. As if being born and raised in the state of Texas were not enough. I am very wary of these people and this will have to be wary of identity theft now that this woman is in possession of my personal info.

I have all email and messenger correspondence, stating the job was mine until I had to hand over sensitive info, should this escalate. Also, WAK solutions says they cannot find any info proving I am a real person, though I have lived in a dozen apartments, applied for credit cards and jobs that all ran complete background checks and found that I am indeed a real person. Do not trust Kelsie or WAK solutions.

Good company needs new owner

AUTHOR: kimmie - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, June 14, 2012

Can we say bipolar? I was hired by this company a short time ago, I lasted about 4 weeks. The good news is, it is a good company, but it needs a new owner. Katrina really needs to attend a business college, and then from there go on to a school where she can learn how to respect her employees and learn some class. Allow me to explain what I went through. After the initial application and notarized forms, I was thrown into a conference call with other new employees to learn how the company works. Talk about overwhelming! Katrina was the one to lead this conference call. Laughed, joked, couldn't get things to go correctly as we all listened and watched on the pc as she directed up to this huge mountain of things we needed to do. By the way, she was 15 mins late for this crucial meeting. Her jokes about herself were not funny, although she laughed at herself. The phoney 1st impression I would like to call it. But look out! You are on pins and needles with her, never know when you are about to be attacked by email or pms. Swearing, belittling, yelling, treating you like you were a child, we ALL received this treatment, not just me. The above person is correct, no one ever got back to you. The only time you heard from anyone is when you didn't do something, or did something incorrectly, then you would get blasted. In her ad she states girls make a couple grand a week. This is so not true. I talked to the girls that have been there awhile and newbies, they were lucky if they broke 50 bucks. On your shift usually 8 hours you have to sit in a chatroom sometimes you are there for hours and no one comes in. With all the things she throws at us to do as psos we should get paid by the hour. Blogging, tweeting, chatroom, pms, newsgroups, emails, a timer we have to download to vote for her sites every 3 hours, and we are drilled and reminded in email to do this constantly. As I said it's a good company but is in dire need of a new owner. The dispatchers well one is a  total biotch been there quite awhile and doesnt give you the time of day. The other seemed very helpful and kind. Calls coming in are few and very very very far between. Katrina really needs to step back and regroup and start treating her employees with respect, she should not be talking behind their backs like she does, and she should not belittle them and make them feel worthless and stupid. I did receive my pays on time but was also threatened with a .50 off per call if I didn't reach 100 mins a week. Hard to reach 100 mins when the calls don't come in. There are much better companies out there where you will be treated like a human and not like a piece of dirt.

#6 UPDATE EX-employee responds

I can relate to this unfortunately...

AUTHOR: Bunny - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, June 14, 2012

Katrina was actually alright in the beginning. The day I was supposed to start work I wasn't able to log in (I later found it it was my mistake that caused it)--but I communicated with her and the dispatchers, and emailed support like I was told and she was A-Okay.

I found that shortly after I started, asking for help was a no-no...the dispatchers and other girls were generally okay to ask, but emailing support? Not only did they not respond within the stated 24-48 hours if you needed help, sometimes they didn't respond at all. When they did respond, it was always with a nasty, hurried little sarcastic reply. I agree with Chelsea saying that Katrina reamed anyone who made a mistake. I was terminated not 4 weeks after being hired for some pretty bogus reasons--it's almost like she expected even the newest hires to know everything right off, even though after 4 weeks I was only just getting the hang of everything. The reasons she cited for my termination were kind of like "Huh????". The list was also very long. Some of the things she listed I didn't think even applied to me. The things that did were things I'd communicated with her and the dispatchers about already. But I guess that wasn't enough? I didn't even bother arguing with her for fear that she'd do something like hold my pay...which, I still haven't seen yet.

I'm left feeling kind of confused by the whole thing. I feel like there were a couple of unspoken rules that I wasn't aware of, and that very often, Katrina said she'd emailed you/told you about these things that you were supposed to have known to do a million times already when in reality, she never sent them or forgot. Several times after asking for help she told me she'd already been over the things I was asking (and yes, with the "it's not rocket science!") but upon searching the messages she'd sent, I never saw anything indicating she had. I get that she is busy and all of that but...we shouldn't be at fault if we never received the materials. I also understand that people don't follow directions very well in general, but I made it a point to read over everything she sent pretty carefully and I feel like I did what I was asked to do.

I probably shouldn't care as much as I do since it was part-time anyway, but I tend to put my all into everything I do. It really sucks because I feel like I could've done an awesome job if I'd had enough time to actually learn it. Oh well.

I believe you mean Jerry Springer, not Jerry Springfield. LOL

I wrote back in April, and here it is June and I LOVE my job. Katrina is a VERY hard working woman and I applaud her. I only had to send my info in 1 time and 1 time only, I have NO clue what you are talking about. I am a dispatcher and it has taken me awhile to get to learn the ropes, Katrina has been MORE than patient with me, I am thrilled to be a part of her growing business. I receive my pay on time, and I feel we all work as a team with this thriving company. As I said before, we, the dispatchers, handle names, addresses, emails, and of course, cc info, and I believe Katrina goes above and beyond to make sure that the clients info is handled by people with a pristine background. Not many people will take that extra step, PLUS pay for a background chesk like she does. I hope to stay with WAK for a very, very long time.

Send SS & DL w/each email??? Very poor management!!!

AUTHOR: sayitloudsayitproud - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, May 30, 2012

VERY, VERY, POOR MANAGEMENT!!!

YES they DO take ALL your info. not just once, but EVERY TIME you don't send info to her perfections, she demands (MS. KATRINA), drivers license & Soc. Sec. card together be resent.

How many times does ONE company need personal info?  I understand & respect one time, the law is the law, but if I was not desperate for work, I'd loved to reamed her back the same way, but people like that have a feeling of entitlement, and their usually the FIRST to call the law, or do something bad to you.

People, do yourself a favor, try another company, this one needs NEW management.  If you have a fast internet speed, try something like: WEST, 1-800-flowers, or perhaps there is another PSO company that is good, but not this one at this time.

I did EVERYTHING ask, attended 1st meeting, MS KATRINA'S modem went down, kicked out of meeting, and had to wait till next meeting.  Next meeting, she stated she had done this for multiple yr.s, well she made numerous errors, & at the time, no biggy, but considering in reverse, she expected NO MISTAKES from newbies, and should you make a mistake, she reamed you like a b*****d step child!

MS KATRINA spoke so negative about PSO's as a whole, no way shape or form should she ever be put in a management position.  I can see where the job would come with stress, but if you can't handle it, step down, step back, regroup.

I messed up my login in the chatroom, and someone did try helping me, and I responded that I had errored & thanked them for their help, & did explain I was new, & sorting all the new info out.  Stranger in chat scolded me, I let it roll off my shoulder, then phone rang, she was screaming at me, you'd thought I'd just stole her brother/lover on Jerry Springfield.  Definitely gave the impression of a person with too many stimulants in her system.  Screaming at me, "Can't you type in your own email, login, it's NOT rocket science.

YES as many times as she needs repeat sending of sensitive documents, I WOULD WORRY!

Employee of WAK Solutions

AUTHOR: Terry - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, April 26, 2012

I was recently hired by WAK Solutions LLC. I was VERY pleased to see that they owners do thorough checks of ALL its employees, especially the dispatchers that solely handle the clients personal info. I to had a background check that the company pays for, and contracts to sign. I have been in the adult business for many years and was happy to see a company that took the time and money to provide this service to their employees for the safety of their clients. Maybe you need to look into your background check yourself Ms. Houston, maybe there is omething in it that you are unaware of. I am VERY happy with this company and glad I found them.

Repeat Again

AUTHOR: Mary - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, January 19, 2012

Thanks LawyerGirl for the glowing recommendation for WAK Solutions, I am sure you are one of the "HR people." Let me re-iterate in a nutshell my complaint:

I was told I was hired, to attend orientation, then the offer was retracted once "Kelsie" got a copy of my driver's license, social security card, and yes, a scanned copy of my certified birth certificate. The latter was her request for additional info. Ironically, after years and years of giving this type of info to lending institutions, personal banks, credit card companies, apartment complexes and applications for auto loans, Miss Kelsie said I do not exist. Gee...after a decade of my info being perfectly valid, my identity has just disappeared over the past couple of months???

My complaint is now, this bitc has my personal info and I have to monitor my credit report closely to make sure there are no nefarious loans taken out in my name. Hey...perhaps I can hire your lawyer hubbie if necessary! Thanks

Real Company-Real Background Check-Real Paycheck

AUTHOR: LawyerGirl - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, January 14, 2012

I also applyed to be a dispatcher for WAK solutions. It says it on their employment page and WAK Solutions Adult Services page:

"To be one of our dispatchers you must agree to a background check once your application is accepted." & "We have a rigorous application process and extensive background checks
on all of our personnel who handle customer information."

And you have to check a confirmation box that you will have a mandatory background check. I'm not sure why you are so upset about this because it was all clearly stated. They had no trouble what so ever with my background check and I work 40 hours a week handling sensitive customer information like credit cards. WAK processes for multiple companies and yes, the background check was very thorough, they even contacted a previous employer for a reference. Getting hired was more of a pain then any other place ive ever worked, but I love working here. I get paid on time, get to work from home, and have never had an issue with Kelsie or any other manager.

If you didn't pass the background check for lack of information no wonder they didn't want to hire you to deal with credit cards. Everyone under the sun steals that information, especially in the adult entertainment industry. This is why they deal with so many other businesses, because they have solid dispatchers who have passed a hard background check.

I'm sure it wasn't personal and I don't know why you think they are 'after you.' They are a reputable business with real lawyers and real drafted contract. My contract was 8 pages long and you have to sign all kind of legal stuff. My hubbie is a lawyer and I made him all look it over to make sure it was legitimate and even he was impressed.

Dispatchers only get paid 4.25 an hour. You can work for McDonald for minimum wage for double that so don't get too bent out of shape.
