West gate designs claims to be a company who hires freelance web developers and pays them an hourly wage. I was contacted by Michael Murillo and after a quick 5-7 minute interview I was made an offer for a job with them with very minimal experience, awesome right? Well, after having a gut feeling and knowing that anything that's too good to be true probably is. I researched them and was unable to find anything incriminating. Inmaticulously surveyed their website, westgatedesign.com, and found it odd that Google gave me a warning about their security and none of their website links worked. For a website developer this was very unusual and I decided to block their number and just brush it under the rug. I am now taking action because this so-called "Michael Murillo" is a known scammer and has attempted this before and has actually succeeded with other unsespecting honest people just looking for work (see cybernet development). Be careful and look out for any of these ads on Craigslist claiming to train you for free to become a website developer or hire you as a web developer and making you take a certification course in order to work.
