On 6/19/05 we signed up with Wirefly.com from an ad on MSN.com. The offer was for "2 Free Motorola Razr V3 cell phones plus 2 Free Bluetooth head sets" when we signed up for Cingular cell phone services for 2 years. You were supposed to have the order in by midnight, which we did and we received no conformation of our order!
We found their phone number and called to ask if our order was received and it was not! So we were offered another deal of "2 Free Motorola Razr V3 Cell Phones", no headsets. The person we spoke to told us all the "rebate/refund" information would arrive in the box with the phones. It did not! We e-mailed right away and received no response. The e-mails went on for 2 weeks with no response. We then called our credit card company and even they could not get a response from Wirefly, so our account was credited!
We filed complaints with the BBB of Maryland and the Atty. General of Maryland only to find Wirefly had moved to Washington DC, so we filed again with the BBB and Atty. General of Washington DC and still received no response from Wirefly.
Two months later Wirefly informed us we were not getting a rebate and that they could do nothing about it and were cancelling our order!
They wouldn't even respond the complaints or give any explanation for their actions!
We are just glad we contacted our credit card company and suggest others do the same!
They are guilty of "Bait and Switch" and as far as we are concerned they are guilty of Fraud as well and should be put out of business.
We have even complained to MSN.com for allowing them to advertize on their web site several times and even they will not respond!
