 I also bought a made from Allan and she is wonderful and she has me trained very well.I love her dearly she was just like he said. Not one surprise her health was great. I will buy a horse again from Allen I trust him and have sent people to him when they were horse shopping.

I hired Zegler Transportation to haul 40 Mini's from MN to FL. He did a great job.  Minis arrived on time and safe and sound. Plenty of water and hay for them.  He also allowed me to load many other things on the trailer as well as on the sides at no extra cost.  I was moving and had feeder, gates, pannels, hay etc.  He was very nice and very helpful. Just because a person or two has had a bad experience does not mean that everyone has had one.

He had a double decker horse tranport.  I have never een one like it and no, it was not a cattle hauler.

I would recomend him any time!!

VERY interesting AL!!  This is the SAME bull story you told us.  have you noticed that there are 26 negative reports on you, ON THIS SITE ALONE!!!  I doubt very seriously that you could win anything over on this woman if you took her to court, it is very easy for you to sit there and say that when the laws are such that they dont protect people from horse traders such as yourself.  I have heard the same stories about you buying "KILLER" horses and selling them as "Quality" horses from the Animal Control department in the county where you live!  I have X-Rays and info from 2 Vets AND OSU Radiology that say the horse you sold us was Lame WHEN YOU SOLD HER!!  Doesnt matter how many horses you sell a year...  the point is you sold me a lame horse you duped this lady from Virignia and countless others.  YOU, AL ZEIGLER, ARE A HORSE TRADER AND YOU KNOW IT.  Your character is trash and eventually you will have to answer for what a worthless piece of trash you are.

I also called the vet that signed the Certificate of Vet Inspection & Animal Control in his area, lets just say they knew him very well!!!

As you can see, Im VERY serious about my complaint, as Im sure you are as well.   I know this wont get you the horse you want or your money back, I just keep thinking that eventually he'll get enough complaints that SOMETHING will happen.

Aplington Sale barn is back open and running horse sales every third weekend of the month, I was just at the horse sale this past weekend and Al was there and purchased many horses.  One of the horses he just purchased on Saturday 6/18/2011, is now on his web site for sale.  The ad states that the price will go up as the kids start riding, well this poor stud that he bought just turned 1, he is only a yearling and he is going to put his kids on this guy and let them ride him, the price is also about 4 times the amount he paid for the colt.

I have dealt with Al Zeigler on severel different occasions over the years. First time I met with him he was to pick up a horse and deliver it to my potential buyer and also give me the check for the horse when he picked it up. He got out of his truck took one look at my horse said he was lame and no good, but he did offer me less $ for him before he left. I had a prepurchase exam on my horse and had the vet back after Al left, No lameness nothing the vet could find even taking X-rays. I believe he just wanted to sell one of his own horses to this lady. He called me back on the phone and promptly told me I was an idiot, he knew more than me as he was a "big" person in the horse industry.

Second time we crossed paths, I had a client wanting to ship a pony, they contacted Al. When I heard they were going to use Zeigler shipping I said no way was I putting my pony on his trailers, for it to be exposed to sickness and be on the trailer days on end before reaching its destination. When they tried to switch Shippers Al refused to refund thier deposit and called me ranting raving and cussing about how he was a big time guy and I was a lowly peon and would regret crossing him. I have had 4 more clients that have "alegedly" had run ins with him, presuring them to buy one of his horses or ship a horse with his company, if they dont move quick enough he gets nasty with them. He has also come up with lots of excuses why his trailers are running late, or where they actually are located and once after placing a deposit and waiting well over 5 weeks for him to pick up and deliver he just cancled after a bunch of odd excuses. He did however refund the deposit on that one occasion. I realize there are probably a few who have dealt with him and got lucky, but I advise you all to do ALOT of homework before shipping with or buying an animal from Big Zig.

I found out this morning that Al Zeigler gave MY NAME AND PHONE NUMBER out as a reference for him! At the time I was in the process of buying a horse, had not received the horse and had no knowledge of Al or his horses. I never gave this Al Zeigler person permission to give out my number and assuredly NOT as a satisfied customer. The saga continues...

I recently got a horse from Al and I found him very good to deal with. The horse came here safe and sound . she needed a little cleaning up , but she had a long trip! She came off of the trailer and went right into the stall with no trouble. she let me groom her in the stall that very night. I went down to the farm where I board the next day and she was just as good as the day before. She had her feet done and stood like a champ for our ferrier! I put her in cross ties yesterday and groomed her, she stood there until I was done and she really dosen't know me yet. When I went to the field to get her as we put her out that morning she came right to me! I found his driver Robin to be very courteous and excellent with the horses they picked up here! So far everything he told me about this horse has been true. Before I ride her on our trails I will walk her out there to get used to our sights and sounds. You have to remember they are like the new kid in class. Thank you Al !!!!!

I bought horses from Al very satisfied with them were exactly what he said when they arrived at my place healthy broke as he said they were evey horse act diff to new surroundings as far as T Parcher replies I know this gal she was married to my relatives and cant believe a word this gal says she stoled a horse trailer form her previous boss and is sue happy.. She has another child with my relative and doesnt let him see the child and he pays support... She takes people who for all there worth and them some Congrad Allan for having the smarts of getting rid of her sure u had to fight to get to see ur child hopefully she dont turn out like her Mom.. Al is an honest person who knows alot about horses and has been in the horse business for a long time yah u cant please everyone but hell do his darnest to try to hell go out of his way to find the horse ur looking for and people like her ruin his reputation.. Keep up the hard work all good things come to those who are honest and truly care about what there doing not to those who rack up bill and sue happy who think everything should be handed to them..

Allan has been a horse trader since the day his poor mother let him have a breath. Allan is a frequent trader at any horse sale that hasn't been skrewed by him, YET!!!! He likes to go to Corsica, SD, and purchase out of the loose pin. Waukon, Ia, they may be letting back in. Is he still bouncing checks there? He also likes Kalona, Ia, but the last time I remember the sherrif took him out back to question him about the bad checks. Jackson, MN, they really don't like Allan. Aplington sale barn stopped having sales, because Allan stood in the ring and acted like he ran it. Now they just do cattle sales. If there's anyone that wants to buy a Honest horse look for someone that doesn't drug them, steal them, purchase them out of loose pin, and doesn't put a quick ride on them. Take it From someone that KNOWS Allan and his kind. Purchase from someone close to home. Someone you can go and ride the horse and see where the horse has been staying. If you can't do it yourself don't buy!! Keep in mind he doesn't care about you. It's his pockets you and people just like you that keep him in business.

I was told over the phone by another Horse trader that he Alegedly saw Al Zeigler of Zeiglerlivestocktransfer, load 9 or 10 horse's from the loose lot on his trailer, whith a truck that had Zeiglerlivestock transfer. on the side (Alegedly) He stated to me that he knew Al Zeglier and seen him at Horse Auctions buying horse's all the time His word's (Alegly), I was not there so i know this is hearsay, but i don't see any reason for this man to lie to me.He said that they were wearing Black Jacket's saying Zeigler on them. Also another person, seen these men with Zeigler Jackets on With sales receipt in there hands alegedly.This was on Jan.05,09 at Kalona sale barn in Iowa. a monday, now Al called me on the Phone Threating to sue me for slander saying he was buying cattle there, but now, he has said on the rebutal, that he was there, transporting horse's for a client, so which one is it??? Calling me a crazy Lady, i welcome anyone who want's to see pic's of the horse, i purchased from him,to see the pic's. Pictures are worth a thousand word's. And no word's can explain how bad this horse looked, but after a month here she has picked up weight and after treating her scaring it is getting better.He has 2 different story's on how she got beat up one he told me a gelding of his that he rides was picking on her and in another story it was a stallion that just got Gelded,and was someone who worked for him's fault,does he not oversee his horse's this amount of bite's did not happen in a day or two. He doesn't even know what day the horse's were delivered. It was Dec.12,08, I have receipts to prove it. and pic's taken on Dec.13,08. of this horse's condition,and written statement's from 2 different people who were here and will attest to the condition of the horse's! One of my freind's thought the buckskin Mare was a rescue horse, I said no i paid 2500.00 for her and these were not the pic's of her that were on his web site.I would not have purchased a horse in this condition. The man Ron Thigpen or Pigpen,said he said was a half brother to Al, i not sure of his name, would not unload the horse's untill i paid the balance. Also the horse's drank 2 bucket's of water each, they were so Thirsty. Also he had us hold a horse 17 hand that they were transporting to Md. to a trainer, I don't know, what you think but i would not want some people, not knowing anything about horse's as Al Zeigler states holding a horse ,for someone paying good money to transport it, it could have run off and never made it to the Trainer. Al Zeigler alegedly purchased horse's at The Kalona Sale barn on Jan.05,09 Mon. I spoke to another Horse trader who told me on the phone, That he know's Al Zeigler, and seen him there buying, horse's from the loose lot, and watched him load them on his trailer, with the truck attached to the trailer with Zeigler livestock transport on the side of the truck, He also told me he see's him frequently at horse auctions,(alegedly) and there were several men loading them with jacket's saying Zeigler's on them,of couse this is all (aleged),as i was not there in person. Also another person who live's in Iowa, also told me they seen men there with sale receipts in hand, also said these men that this person seen, where wearing Zeigler 's Jacket's on, again Alegedly,as i was told this by 2 different people over a phone. conversation!! Al Zeigler has Finely called and E-mailed me to threaten a law suit!!! Only worried because on his sight, he state's he does not buy his horse's from auction, Maybe next time, these people will have a camera!!! All i have asked Al Zeigler for is safe, horse's in good condition, as he promised me! A Picture is worth a thousand word's, I have the pictures and the proof, of the horse i purchased from him her name is Freckles sugar out of Doc Freckles. A freind of mine cryed when i sent the pic's of her, they were not the pic's on his web site, and i had other freinds ask me why i was into rescue horse's, i told him this was not a rescue ,i paid 2,500.00 for this mare!!!!! Also, one of the horse's on the truck that was being transported to Md. The driver ask us to hold while he unloaded, the manure in our driveway, If i was the person shipping this horse, I would of been upset that this transport company,left some total novice people hold my horse that, could of broke loose and took off, and might not have ever made it to md. and the trainer. This gelding was 17 hands tall, a lot of horse!! I would not like it if i knew some people not experienced with horses was holding a horse of mine, when i was paying good money to transport, also our horse's were so thirsty, They drank down 2 hudge bucket's of water each!!! These horses were look at a vet the same day they got loaded on the trailer to head to this ladies place. Now If these horses were not fit and in good shape when they were delivered back in November then WHY DID SHE SIGN THE PAPER THAT STATES THAT HORSE HORSES WERE DELIVERED SAFELY & IN GOOD CONDITION ?? Also why did she pay the other 1/2 that she owed . Why did she not reject them ?? Now that horses have been in her care for over 30 days.

Alot can happen to a horse in 30 days if you do not feed them ( she must not be ) Now for the Auction deal. Now we sell over 300 horses a year on line . Go a head and do some searching around on line about us you will find maybe 1 -3 people at the most that was not happy with the horses they got from us.
