I hired ABC for framing, drywall, drywall finishing, paint and an ACT ceiling for a remodel project. Without formally disclosing it, they subcontracted all of the work to another company. As soon as the job was done, I paid ABC in full.
However, ABC didn't pay their subcontractor. Numerous attempts to get Emerson Ayala to pay his workers over 3 months failed resulting in a Mechanics Lien being placed on my property by the subcontractor who didn't get paid.
