The car we bought qualifies for a clean vehicle tax credit, but our return was flagged because the dealer failed to submit the required Time of Sale Report to the IRS. They wouldn’t submit the report retroactively though the IRS suspended the submission window. We walk out of the store with the understanding that Enterprise’s official stance is, "Oopsie”. Enterprise has caused us to lose a $4k tax credit. We deserve to be made whole.
