I was looking for a touring agency that would give me a tour of the city of Tequila while I was visiting Mexico.  I initially found www.toursguadalajara.com.mx where I paid for 2 tickets for about $80 united states dollars total.  On their website they allow you to specify the general location where you would like to be picked up but do not provide a specific location.

As the departure date was nearing, we tried to reach out at least 7 times by phone, once by e-mail, and several whatsapp messages asking for departure information.  They eventually replied and claimed they would be sending me an e-mail with specific departure information by 4pm the day before we would depart.  By 8pm I still have not received the departure information and contacted them again.

They eventually provided me with an image of a ticket with a different departure information than what we had specified and the departure information on that image contained conflicting informaiton about its location.  When we attempted to get clarification they did not respond.

It was at that point where I began to suspect this was a scam and found https://www.facebook.com/Guadalajara-jalisco-tours-estafa-cuidado-109543154569423 which stated at they were a scam.

One experience of the person who posted there left a review that stated that they did not pick them up when they scheduled a tour.  Attached is an image taken from the warning site with the translated added.  On that site warning of the scam was an image of a receipt that looked similar to the one I was given.

I ended up going with a different touring agency and filed a paypal dispute with "Guadalajara Jalisco Tours".  When I expressed legitimate concerns to "Guadalajara Jalisco Tours" before and during the dispute they remained unsympathetic and insisted that it was unfair to them to give a refund and would not give a refund.  It took about 3 weeks but paypal was able to refund me.

Their facebook page is located at https://www.facebook.com/Guadalajara-Jalisco-Tours-272954706634719  I do see some user feedback on their facebook page which suggested to me that perhaps they do give some tours, unless that user feedback is also fabricated.  It is unclear to me how much of their business is a scam and what part of their business is legitmate.  In any event, I find their business unreliable and not worth taking a chance on.  (If you're looking for a recommendation for a Tequila tour, we ended up booking one at https://satmexico.net from expedia and that went fine).

Another thing of suspicion was on the morning of the tour approximately 40 minutes after my last communication with "Guadalajara Jalisco Tours" requesting a refund, I received a call from what appeared to be the US Government from a spoofed number making it look like it came from US Customs.  I've never seen a call like this come in to me so I answered it.  They claimed that they found something in my luggage and would impeach me unless I gave them my personal information.  Then I hung up.  This is another known scam.

The only agency that I told that I was visiting Mexico from the United States was "Guadalajara Jalisco Tours".  They were the only agency that knew and the communication was around the same time as my communication with "Guadalajara Jalisco Tours".  That made me suspecious that "Guadalajara Jalisco Tours" was involved with that particular scam call either by doing it themselves or selling my phone number to some other scammer.

What I've noticed about their business is that they only began using the domain www.toursguadalajara.com.mx since April of 2021.  Prior to that date they were using the domain www.guadalajarajaliscotours.com.mx.  Their contact numbers are

+52 33 2803 7477 / 3328037477

+52 33 2019 6107 / 3320196107

+52 33 2601 9293 / 3326019293

contact e-mails I've found are

"Jazmin Parra" jazmineparra1997@gmail.com

"Rocio Parra" Parrarocio85@gmail.com

I was able to locate 2 other business that use these same contact numbers.  One business of theirs says they sell horse rider accessories.  They're located at https://www.accesorioscharrosparra.com https://www.facebook.com/Mo%C3%B1os-Charros-Parra-290163824948748   Another business of theirs claims to do dental work.  They're located at https://www.facebook.com/Smiling-Odontologia-Integral-107766057599130

I assume these are similar scams of they run.  Hopefully people see this and are properly warned.  Feel free to reference this page in your financial disputes.
