Was looking to hire this company to move a vessel from south Florida to New York State. His price was high but I’m willing to pay for the right service. Upon further digging I found out that he is not authorized with the USDOT to conduct for hire work.
His dot number is revoked and there is no insurance on file. Beware before you make a $6500 mistake. This guy is a shady dude that will say whatever it takes to get your money

Hodge's D.O.T. authority IS in fact ACTIVE, it has been since the day it was established, and with NO negative remarks, citations, failed inspections, or incidents. We've NEVER failed a D.O.T. inspection. Hodge's M.C. authority, which is completely different than a D.O.T. authority (clearly the poster is unaware of this), is in fact NOT active, as Hodge's Towing & Recovery LLC Leases on under a different companies authority for over the road dispatch services. This is a common, and legal business practice.
Furthermore, what does one's D.O.T. authority have anything to do with being ripped off? Hodge's Towing & Recovery LLC has a stellar reputation. We're an elite carrier with absolutely ZERO negative reviews. Our customers have nothing but good things to say about us. Unlike most, we do what we say, when we say, everytime, no exceptions.
We not only meet our customer's expectations, but we exceed them. We strive to provide a level of service that is far superior to our competition. and we've succeeded in doing so on every single transport that we've done to date. In addition, we're Commercially insured, bonded, and experienced! Absolutely no where in this posters complaint does it say anything to the contrary.
