Jorge Rivas a draft dodger, Rip Off business owner to and a traitor to his country - Now he want to be in US Congress - NO! Tucson Arizona

First of all, his food at Sammy's Mexican Grill made me ill. He isn't even Mexican - he is from El Salvador! I'm way to old for such horribly bad food. 

Second: As voters of Arizona's 7th District, we have been duped and ripped off by Jorge Rivas, his so called restaurant, and are faced with a deeply troubling candidacy in the form of Jorge Rivas. Mr. Rivas is asking for the public’s trust — asking to represent our values, our families, and possibly our soldiers — while carrying the heavy stain of cowardice that he has never owned, never explained, and never atoned for.

In the early 1980s, when his native El Salvador was torn by violence, Jorge made a decision. At seventeen, he chose NOT to stand and fight for his homeland. He dodged the draft. While young men — both Salvadoran and American — fought and died in defense of democracy and stability, Jorge Rivas ran!

And now, he wants to sit in a seat of power in our Congress. He wants to make decisions that could send our sons and daughters into harm's way, even though he refused to answer that same call himself. What gives a man like that the moral authority to send anyone to war? What gives him the audacity to speak of duty, service, or patriotism?

Leadership demands courage. Jorge Rivas showed us, when it mattered most, that he didn’t have it. Fleeing is not the same as fleeing danger — he fled responsibility. He fled obligation. And now, decades later, he returns not with humility or explanation, but with ambition.

We cannot afford leaders who only find their voice once the fight is over. We need representatives who understand sacrifice because they’ve lived it — not run from it. Jorge Escobar abandoned one country when it needed him most. We must not let him betray another.
