*Consumer Comment: Dr Luca Giliberto MD Neglected me, showed Disrespect, did Not Listen to my concerns
Dr. Giliberto was treating my mother for dementia for a while. He regularly sent her for scans of her brain and have her do other tests. We were staying in New Jersey for a while when she suffered a heart attack.
We later learned from her doctors at that hospital that she was never supposed to have been taking a number of the dementia drugs because she also had a thyroid condition. Dr. Giliberto never mentioned the risks for taking the medications he gave or whether the way he was giving them was experimental.
My mother never had a choice in this matter. She died a painful death. I hope no one or their loved one has to suffer the same.

Dr. Luca Giliberto Mistreated and Misguided Me When I Was Seeking Other Care
AUTHOR: Jared - (United States)

After visiting with Dr. Giliberto my family and I wanted to ask for a second opinion before I went ahead with treatment. I returned to Dr. Giliberto to ask him if we can go forward with his plan. He appeared angry and upset with me that I gave my files to another physician to review. Dr Giliberto kept making cynical comments in front of my family and I, so I asked to be alone with the doctor for a moment. Dr. Giliberto told me that if I don't completely trust him and his work - that I should leave.
One of the main reasons I asked for a second opinion was because we were using a drug combination that was not for its original indication. I don't know if that was the reason he was visibly upset with me, or that I asked for a second opinion. I would never have gone to him in the first place if I thought that this was how he was going to act.

Dr Luca Giliberto MD Neglected me, showed Disrespect, did Not Listen to my concerns
AUTHOR: Harry - (United States)

In the beginning Dr. Luca Giliberto spoke and acted professionally and kindly. It was why I chose him to be my main provider. Sometime later, I consulted Dr. Luca Giliberto about side effects of medications he prescribed to me. I told him that I had began to feel pain at random times in the day or in sleep when I made certain movements. He told me that they would go away in time. When I reached out to him again, he told me I was a "delicate flower" and sensitive to slight changes. I visited another neurologist and she told me that we would go through treatment regimens until we find out what balance works for me.
I realized that I just needed a physician who was willing to take the time to see how my body reacts to treatment and then adjust accordingly - as opposed to Dr. Giliberto who charmed me with a false facade of showing care and then tending to me at his convenience.
