Markette Grocery & Station The Markette My son is harassed by four older men who stop there and have coffee every morning! They've said very hurtful and inappropriate things to my son and the manager named Dana won't do anything to stop them! Waurika Oklahoma

Every morning I drive my son to school who is 15 and is a little different from his peers. I stop at the Markette because he likes energy drinks and he likes the sausage and egg burritos they serve every morning. Every morning the same four guys are sitting in the Markette having coffee and they always say something demeaning or they harass him. One of them named Ronnie asked my son when he's gonna get some meat on his bones, and told him he needs to stop wearing certain types of clothes if he wants a girlfriend.

This is very inappropriate and I have spoken to a manager about this and she agreed it's inappropriate but it continues to happen! Another older man told him he needs to work out more and play football. Okay, my son doesn't like football, he's not into playing sports! He doesn't work out! Why should he?  I don't appreciate my son being harassed like this every time he walks into the Markette to get breakfast! You'd think the least they could do is tell the four older men there to leave him alone when he comes in to get his energy drinks and his breakfast!

They say those things to him and then they laugh at him like he's some loser! I get it, my son is different but it doesn't mean he should be harassed and made fun of because he's not as big as some of his peers at school! And certainly not by men who are in their 40s and 60s! Maybe he doesn't want a girlfriend! Maybe he doesn't want "meat on his bones"! 

I am writing this report because I've tried to get something done about this and the manager hasn't been very helpful or nice about it! I've considered talking to the police about it, but I've heard one of the older guys is good friends with sheriff Jeremy Wilson, so I don't think that would be a good idea. Anyway, I guess all I can do is write this report and hope something gets done about it!
