i was filing for divorce on line, as it seemed a viable place to start. they say I would receive divorse papers in a few days. I never received papers and they are not responding to me at all, not by internet or call.

I gave them nearly $500.00 and all my personal information. Please help as those papers are personal and I hope they don't they dont get into the wrong hands. Cat

You can file for divorce pro se through the courts if there are no children involved or property. Plus you can have the Law Enforcement serve your soon to be ex as well so what happened is you gave your money to a scammer. Want help recovering those papers? Hire an Attorney.
