My step mother was exploited by this nursing home.  She signed a contract and prepaid for her funeral service.  This did not include the stone.  The stone is already erected because it is my father's stone.  Her name was already engraved with her birth year.  The only engraving was for her date of death.  She was charged over $16,000 - this is a rural town in mid-west Nebraska.  She died at 99 years of age.  The contract provided for inflation costs.  So, the funeral cost over $17,000.00.  This needs to be reported so the elderly are not scammed into paying for an inflated funeral prepaid contracts.

It is a shame.
