I contacted Phillip Colby Smith, LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) of Counseling Collaborative of North Carolina, PLLC to help me with problems I was having with my marriage. After answering a few intial questions, he tells me to schedule a session. No problem. He charges $220 for a 1 hour session. Expensive? Yes! But this guy was going to help me save my marriage so I thought it is worth it to me and agreed.
Turns out this guy does online counseling not out of an office, but out of his house. He arrives 20 minutes late and by the looks of it, still in his pajamas, and it seems like he doesn't even want bothered. The session goes on and he seems to pretend that he cares. It didn't even last an hour. He then tells me he wants to have 2 more sessions after this.
I am outraged and this point and ask for a refund, he refuses and immediately leaves the online therapy session. I paid him $220 and he basicially didn't do anything.
I have no idea how this guy got his license to practice. Total scammer. Save yourself the hassle and go find a therapist that tries to help you, not this clown.
