Sopko Welding Inc. Five Star Equipment Sales out of Ft. Meyers. FL is a scam! Seaside Oregon

On 1/21/22 we purchased a 2013 JLG telehandler model G10-55A from a Craigslist ad.  We were given the name of Five Star Equipment Sales out of Ft. Meyer as the broker who was selling the equiment.  We signed a Sales Contract, received a Bill of Sale and wire transferred $42,000 ($40,000 for the telehandler and $2,000 to transport it to our location in Seaside, OR).  There had been good communication between the "broker" who we were dealing with until the delivery of the telehandler kept getting pushed back....supposedly due to transportation issues.  Finally around 2/14/22 all communication stopped!   We never got our money back (although the broker offered to do that for us) and we never received the equipment.  

Filed 2 compaints with Craigslist, called both our local police department ( who told me to file an IC-3 form) and the Ft. Meyers police department (who said the address for Five Star Equipment Sales was an empty lot!) I then called the Oregon FBI field office and they again told me to file the IC-3 form.  I told them I already had - they said they review the form and send it on to the appropriate jurisdiction.  I have not heard back from anyone!
