Buyers BEWARE! I bought a car from this woman a week ago. I drove out of the parking lot where I made the purchase and immediately water started pouring out of the door. I called immediately and got no answer. Upon arrival home, I discovered a broken starter, tire, battery cable, etc. Subsequent attempts to make contact were ignored. This was my error - there were warning signs. Hopefully, with this post, you don't have to make the same error. AVOID this grifter at all cost.

Test Drive

AUTHOR: Jennifer - (United States)

POSTED: Tuesday, August 11, 2020

How did the car perform during the test-drive? It seems odd that water poured out of the door after purchase but not during the test-drive.

I wouldn't know if it was pouring out of the door during the test drive, because I was inside the car with my friend who was also in the car.  It was only after they drove it home, with me driving behind, that I noticed it.

How were you able to start the car with a broken starter and bad battery cable during your pre-purchase checkout? Did you visually inspect the tires prior to purchase?

Yes, the tires looked brand new.  Next day, one was flat.  Filled it up and it went flat again but no holes when inspected.  The leak was at the rim. Had it taken off rim, rim scraped and tire put back with sealant.  Seems to be holding now.

What we thought was a bad battery cable, was merely a loose cable. The battery kept dying because the starter was not turning all the way off so the lights in the car were draining the battery.  During the test drive, the starter worked fine, but the car was already running.  Seller got out of car, we got in and drove it.  All fine.  We never turned the car off until we hit our driveway.  Next day it wouldn't start.  We thought it was because of the battery, and in a sense it was.  It was drained because the starter wasn't all the way off.  We didn't realize it was the starter until the guy that came to detail the car was able to turn the car on without the key.  Then it wouldn't turn on at all, once it was turned off.  Several hundred dollars later, I am still dealing with glitches that were never mentioned in the sale.
