i used 123layaway.com to start to purchase a camera. i made one payment and they were very difficult to work with. I did not make another payment and attempted many times via email and phone to cancel. I was never refunded my 135 bucks and now the website is down too.

i was also ripped off by 123 layaway and stacy perry

i put over $600 worth of items on layaway and made my payments and paid the items off. the company supposedly purchased the items when i made the initial layaway payment so i assumed once paid off, the items would ship.i waited a couple weeks and tried calling with no answer and emailing with no response...then the phone lines were disconnected and the website disappeared. i contacted the better business bureau in cincinnati too, and after a few months they emailed saying they couldnt get in touch with the company and were closing my case. then finally i got a response from a rude and arrogant stacy perry (allegedly) and she pretty much didnt seem to care one way or another if i got my refund...and said i had to have proof of all payments made and layaways i had with the company, information which was on the vanishing 123 layaway site...i didnt print copies of this information because the site seemed valid and i saw no need to keep hard copies for records. the company was a scam from the start. if they had actually purchased my items when i made my down payment, there would have been no reason they couldnt have shipped the items to me once i paid them off. they also kept changing their payment methods and information on the site before it vanished. it said at one point they were going to be under new ownership/management...and they were adding phone lines to the call center and that was supposed to be why the lines were down, but a couple of weeks turned into months and eventually the site was gone and the phones were never turned back on at the alleged "call center" i honestly dont think the company really even existed and any good reviews from "customers" on the site were probably left by the scammers to put people like us at ease so we would use the "service" and they could take our money.

Me Too

I am also a victim of 123 layaway, I was going to purchase a flat screen tv and a ipad. I started getting suspicious when the p.o. box address changed, no one ever answered the phones. I spoke with someone that identified himself as the owner, and was told through emails that my refund was on the way.

That was 90 days ago. Now the website is shutdown, I have filed a complaint with the better business bureau of Cincinnati, I also plan to file a consumer complaint with my state attorney's office.
