My situation was the same as the others.  They called and said they were from Microsoft- got into my computer remotely,  put on fake software, charged me for an Android, which i did not want, swore to me that they were a legit company, and harassed me.  When I told them I would not release my credit card information to them they got a violent tone were very rude on the phone telling me that I was stupid lady and that my computer was in danger.  We had to cancel all all credit cards and recharge all our passwords on our computer.  They scanned my files and got our information.  The whole ordeal lasted 6 hours-  now several days because we are still dealing with it.  This happened on July 10. 2012
