I paid 4 wheel parts to install deeper (4.88) gears on my 2001 F250 SD 5.4L V8 4x4 in the front and rear axles, Well a few years go by and the rear end "shells". I called the Fort Worth location and mystically there is no information about them doing that job. Which I found hilarious considering that I was looking at the receipt with their address on it. So, After telling me that they would "call me back after doing some research" they proceded to give me the run around over the course of the next two weeks. In the mean time, I'm in a bind 200 miles from home. I had a certified mechanic in austin work on the pickup, and shows me the disaster of a rear end of which 4 wheel parts created. WRONG GEARS & NO SHIMS. WTF SERIOUSLY?? I mean come on, the gears come with INSTRUCTIONS (for those that don't know how serious that is, You have to have shims to centralize the ring and pinion, so that the the teeth touch at the exact depth/angle they are designed to operated at, If they aren't they most of the time the tolerances are such that you maybe able to drive out of there and get a few years down the road before the teeth get shredded off the gears). Long story short, these guys are supposed to be the professionals, they assumed zero accountability. I got stuffed with the bill. around $1,800 (back when the dollar was worth something.) and the repair cost of the rear end $700

Update: year after this. My front end shells its self <1 hour of actual use (being engaged to the transfer case, hubs locked). Truck is still sitting waiting for some love.

I expected quality, you gave me junk. You broke my trust. You are ruining your reputation.
