In September of 2012, I answered an ad that promised a great part time opportunity that you could feel good about in that not only could you make money but you would also be giving back to the community in which you lived.  I responded to the ad and was contacted via email by Jim Taylor who subsequently became Dalton Taylor, Director of Territory Relations for the 4to1 Program.  Mr. Taylor referred me to their website for information and then said that if I was interested to let him know.  It seemed like a very doable plan so I expressed my interest in joining his company as a territory manager.  I sent him my resume and he replied back stating that based on what he saw I would be a good candidate and he would present me to his "board" for approval.  Before he could do that I would need to send him a signed contract along with $480 as an "engagement fee".  I told him I did not have $480 at the time and he said his company could work with less than the total fee for someone of my caliber.  He agreed to accept $200.  Mr. Taylor insisted that I send in the signed contract and the $200 that day via UPS overnight to insure my place would be secure.  I complied and after a $35 UPS fee he received it at 10am the next day.

Mr. Taylor then contacted me to go over the plan in detail over the phone.  We spent about an hour talking about the plan and how amazing it was for all concerned.  He even gave me the number of an existing territory manager, Samantha, who lived in Oklahoma.  I spent a half hour or so speaking with her.  All seemed normal and I was excited and grateful to be involved with the 4to1 Program.  All that I needed then was the product that I was to place in businesses in my home territory.  I was even set up with my own email account from the 4to 1 Program to more easily communicate with them.

I waited patiently during the month of October for my shipment to arrive.  Mr Taylor told me of high volumn of sales they we having and that my shipment would get to me soon.  When we got into November, I was told that there were still inventory issues but it would ship soon.  Around the middle of November Mr. Taylor told me that his company agreed that they would not charge me the monthly accounting fee that I agreed to in the contract due to the delay.  Later in the month Mr. Taylor felt so bad that he agreed to refund my $200 "regardless" of my wanting to continue with the program or not.  I told him that I still wanted to be involved and could understand inventory issues.  Then came Super Storm Sandy.  It seems that this Texas company has their jerky product made somewhere on the East coast.  Further delay.  The end of December saw Mr. Taylor become ill and unable to perform his duties.  Apparently none of the "board" members or the "Compliance Officer", Mr. Gordola could assist Mr. Taylor with the shipment of cutting me a check.

Making a longer story shorter, on January 21st, Mr. Taylor agreed to refund my $200 plus an additional $300 for my troubles to quitely go away.  He sent me an agreement to sign saying that I would hold the 4to1 Program harmless and that basically I would not write this story for all to see.  I did sign the agreement and send it back to him.  He had asked for 5 days to make sure I didn't write this or contact the BBB of Dallas.  I agreed to the five days and gave him a couple of more days but, big surprise, not wired funds as promised and promised several times by Mr. Taylor.  Last I heard from Mr. Taylor he was in a "hospital bed" suffering a "relapse" from his earlier illness.  Last week I contacted the Dallas BBB.  They have since told me that they were told by the 4to1 Program that they were going to handle me through their (4to1) "customer service " in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Funny in the last 5 months I never knew that they had a customer service department in Oklahoma.  The only mention of someone from Oklahoma was that existing rep., Samantha.

My advise it to stay very clear of the 4to1 Program and definately do not send them money!
