Totally just wasted my time with this one!..
I found the job on Craigslist.com under the title, "Hiring Immediately!". The job listed wasn't very detailed, just kind of brief. It said Entry level manager. So I called the phone number that was listed.

A person named Rachael answered and she asked me a couple questions and then wanted to set up an interview for that afternoon, which was quite to sudden I thought for an interview.. So I went into the interview at their office off weldon parkway, by Westport off Page Ave. I go in, there is loud music playing, the office was kind of "crappy", is the way I would put it, and I am met by the person Rachael. She had me fill out an application, then she explained the position. But she talked very fast and loud the whole time, and when I heard her answer the phone in the office she said Paradise Enterprises, and then told me to call between 4 and 4:40pm to see about a 2nd interview. I did and when I called she tried to sound all "Estatic" about me and asked me to come in their Bridgeton location for a 2nd interview. So I did, and at the other location I was met by Jenny. I guess she was one of the "managers" or something, but there were also like 10-12 other people there?.. Which didn't make sense really either.

We all sat in this classroom type room, and listened to the "regional manager" named David. Then the person Jenny came in and talked also. Then they told us to call back (again) between 3-3:30pm to find out if we got the job. So i did and the man David said I got it and to come in Monday at 11am. So I did and when I got there, there were still others there?. But this time only David was there and Jenny wasn't. During the orientation, David gave us a bunch of information and we had to take notes. Then towards the end, he started talking about us going and selling 30 bottles of the perfume and we would get a bonus tomorrow.

I knew something didn't sound right, so when I got home from orientation or whatever the scam was, I tried to research on the company and I found out there 102 other posts on this website about the same place and all of them were almost exactly the same with the same people..

I went in for an interview with a company just like this one over ten years ago. The office was garbage. The people acted the same way. However ten years ago it was branch manager, distribution center, assistant manager ect. I was put through all the same processes then as people are now. IT WAS A SCAM THEN AND STILL IS NOW. Only I had to be involved with it to figure that out. I left a job that paid $8.75 an hour to go and make $30,000 a year. They told me I couldn't be promoted because there records showed I didn't sell enough perfume. Even though I sold more than some others. In my experience the offices were in St Charles and Earth City. We had to travel to New Halls Ferry though (way out 270 North)

For those who are researching YOU must buy the perfume and then sell it for the amount they tell you in order to make money. I was there for three months was single and lost alot because of there scams and lies!!!!!

WHO EVER READS THIS PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR IT AND DON"T THINK WELL I WOULD DO BETTER those were my thoughts and it did not work.

One final thought is I think that the comapny was based in California and had a history behind it. BUT WAS STILL A SCAM
Since it could have been made up.

I almost fell for it!

I recieved a call from "Jenny" today. It was funny though, I had been filling out applications EVERYWHERE and assumed this was one of them from Craig'sList (which after reading these stories I KNOW IT IS), so I didn't know what company she was from at first. She spoke really fast, and only mentioned the company name one time. She told me about the training, manager position, and everything on the phone. BUT SAID NOTHING ABOUT ACTUALLY SELLING PERFUME.

[THEN THAT APPARENTLY FAMOUS LINE] She told me to call her between four and four-thirty to know if I got the interview.

I called at 4:15 and I mentioned my name and she ACTED as if she was checking files, and then 2 seconds later enthusiastically told me that I have an interview in the morning. She sent me an email telling me the address, so I took it to google to get directions. After studying the map for a minute I clicked on the link that said "more info" to see if there was any company information. These ripoff reports were the ONLY website links that popped up. ALLLLLL BADDDDD. I read atleast ten of these reports and they all had the SAME SEQUENCE, so I emailed her back and cancelled the interview. Now I can sleep in! LOL

I am so grateful for the internet, and how you can find almost anything that you need to know. I tried to look up the company on BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU, where they can tell you if the company is accredited, OR LEGIT AT ALL!! There were no records of this company, UNDER ANY NAME. These articles just saved me some gas money AND KEPT ME FROM MAKING A HUGE MISTAKE! thanks.
