8665658998 Income Protection Plan or Income Protector; National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburg Pennsylvania National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburg Pennsylvania Scammed my mother out of thousands of dollars over a ten year+ period.

I recently began managing my elderly and blind mother's Bank of America checking account, after gaining power of attorney. She had a high checking balance but also a weird expense each month for $9.95. This goes back at least 10 years from what I can tell. I asked her what it was (Income Protector) and she said it was the fee for her checking account. I asked at Bank of American to confirm and they were clear that this fee/charge was not coming through them.

I put in a stop payment so the money is not coming out of my mom's account anymore. I should mention that my mom did not use her account for more than writing checks and making deposits. This was one of only a few charges on her account. It's unclear if this scam originated with Bank of America or National Union Fire Insurance Company.

In any case, I know my mom would not sign up for this, and we have no paperwork documenting what this "insurance" was for. These are scam artists. Stay away!!!
