A Plus Expediting Unethical company abuses contractors - good luck getting rightful pay Dayton, Ohio

Expendable Drivers - A Plus enjoys this term where they get the almost free services of a new contractor until they get their first check or two, find out they are not being paid what was stated up front and then they quit.

Fuel Surcharge - Contract says, following federal guidelines, that all contractors get 100% of the fuel surcharge.  This is a joke.  A lot of the time, the fuel surcharge is included in a rate quote and the driver then gets zero fuel surcharge.  Even specific fuel charges collected are only partially forwarded to the contractor.

Multiple unexplained deductions are made routinely from a contractors settlement on a regular basis.  Ask them how many contractors have been with them for over 6 months.  True answer is less than the fingers on both of your hands.

A plus routinely accepts loads requiring a team operation and give it to a single driver operated vehicle...then expects the driver to run a 2000 mile trip straight thru.  But wait....if you are late, they will financially punish you and terminate your contract if you are late multiple times.

Per Andrea Beach, Vice-President & operational Manager to office employees, if we know a drivers pay is shorted, we do not alert the driver.  Only if the driver finds the settlement error, will the error be corrected.

This company has many actions against them at this time, to include FMCSA sanctions due to their ignoring federal law.  Many other very good companies are out there.  A Plus gets most of their loads from Panther & Landstar.  You would be much better off operating directly for one of these or the other big companies.
