A vendor at the mall is selling baby turtles. My husband works at pet supermarket and no less than 10 people come in everyday complaining how they bought a turtle at the mall and it died or terribly suffering and on the verge of dieing.These turtles at the mall have very insufficent lighting and heating.... maybe thats the cause of the turtle deaths. The food they sell you at the vendor for the turtle is at super inflation... about 10 bucks when you can go to a petstore and buy it for 2.75! Everything about this place is wrong. The cages they sell you are to small,unsanitary, they don't even give you proper information about these delicate animals. The marketing strategy is very bad because it is in the middle of the mall where the stupid rich Wellington brats walk with Mommy and Daddy and BAM! they see the turtles and cry and whin until they get it.. In all my years I have never heard of buying a turtle out of impluse. It should be illegal to market in this sort of fashion.
This business practice is very bad, and not to mention inhumane What happened to animal rights. The vendor should be locked away for ever! Or at least for a few years.
