Took my Bronco II to them with a slipping auto trans. Advertised next day service which was a joke. Charged me $1, 800. plus the cost of "Hard Parts". Isn't that what transmissions are made of, hard parts ? Had my truck over 3 weeks. When it was finally done, I paid them. Drove it 5 minutes and the "check" engine light came on. Took it right back and of course they said it was not related to their work. Come to find out they left the wire off the O2 sensor. Only took them a month to fix that disconnected wire. Then the trans gave out within 30 days. These shops make promises and then do what the f__k they want. Don't fall for their fancy TV ads either. They are almost as bad as Jiffy Lube who train their techs how to charge for things you do not need or work they didn't even do. BEWARE OF ALL AAMCO LOCATIONS ESPECIALLY GLEN BURNIE, MD.

What type of transmission?

First, if you are expecting next day service for a job that at minimum takes 7 hours to do and probably a week to get the new trans its self you are setting yourself up for dissapointment. I also have an additional question, did you have them put a new or used trans in it? I'm sure they wanted to do a new or remanufactured trans but if you opted to do a used one because it was much less, the risk of it having a short life span is high.
