We came across about you moving on craigslist here in Austin. This was our first mistake. We made it a point to make sure most of our valuables were packed and in a separate storage shed prior to moving day.  About you moving arrived on time in a U-haul truck however I didnt think much of this since they were storing our stuff for over a 24 hour period.  Unbeknownst to me, my wife accidently left her 2 diamond rings in a large jewelry box that was packed by the movers.

I didnt know the rings were actually packed until they came up missing the following day. Seems the packers decided to help us out a bit by unpacking her diamonds and gold for her. The rings combined value was about 1600.00 we shared this information with All About You moving owner, Johnnie Castro. Johnnie explained to us that they had insurance and that we would need to file a claim describing the rings along with a letter explaining what happed.

Several days went by and when the dust settled from the move and we went back to work my wife filed the requested claim and faxed/mailed one to Johnnie Castro. Approximately 24 hours later I received a call from their insurance company and one of the first things out of his mouth was did you read the contract information you signed. After a long awkward silence I said No and he shared with me that the mover is only responsible for 60% per pound of what is being claimed.

SO, in our situation we get nothing. Jonnie Castro from About you Moving in Austin knew this would be the case Im sure but still had us go through the motions like we would actually get something. If your reading this and decide to go with this moving company, please be sure to hide anything of value or it will walk off and youll be left thinking to yourself that the move was not actually All about you rather All about them. We plan on filing a police report on this company and will be posting several Ads on Craigslist warning other potential victims. Thanks for the read.

I am Johnnie Castro. Owner of this company. I handled your claim professionally and efficiently. When the incident alledgedly occured, I had each of the movers empty all there pockets in front of you. When asked for any pictures of the rings, you were unable to produce even one photo of the rings and instead submitted photo copied images of two rings downloaded from the internet to my insurance company. They never recieved any photos of your wife with rings. I have handled this situation according to the advice of a lawyer and the insurance company.
