Addonics Would not support or refund for defective products sold Cupertino CA

We've had 3 experiences with Addonics all of which were negative.  You might ask why keep buying from a company that treats us poorly and you are right but they were the only option we had in each case.  The first was for the purchase of a 1 to 19 Jasper SATA hard drive duplicator back in Oct 2014.

  It didn't work as soon as we received it and they wouldn't provide support to fix it, so we ended up having to replace the PSU and all of the molex cables in order to get it functional but luckily it has worked for 5+ years now without any issues albeit we now clone M.2 NVMEs mostly so its not in use all that much.

The second experience is one that leaves me very bitter to this day.  Back in Jan 2015 when Samsung had a 1TB mSATA SSD and there were no 2TB 2.5in SSDs on the market, we purchased 500 adapters from Addonics that converted dual mSATA to 2.5in SATA and it advertised RAID 0, RAID 1, and SPAN functionality.  When we got them, over half would overheat and fail.  None of them had functional RAID 0 or 1 as performance would decline from 550MB/s sequential read to about 400MB/s in RAID mode.  We tried to use SPAN mode but they still ran very hot and failed at over a 20% rate.  The $27 x 500 was completely wasted.  We asked for RMA but they rejected it.  We tried sending anyway and initiating credit card chargeback but they refused the shipment and the chargeback was rejected.  5 years later, we've used up just over half of the drives but most were used as simple mSATA to 2.5in adapters (which is a simple adapter worth about $3) not the dual function with RAID or SPAN.

The 3rd and final experience was just this week.  We needed another M.2 NVME SSD duplicator and the 1:5 from UReach that we bought previously had cost us over $6K.  Addonics is now advertising a 1 to 15 NVME duplicator for under $2,000 albeit it has very slow 30MB/s throughput.  We figured for non-time sensitive imaging, we could use the one from Addonics and worst case is that we have to replace PSU and molex connnectors again to get it working.  Well we went through our distributor Ingram Micro and bought it on 12/19 and after many inquiries they finally responded today (nearly 1.5 months later) that Addonics refuses to sell to us.  Here we are a company burned twice by Addonics and Addonics got away with it both times at our expense and we never wrote anything negative about them online and they had audacity to block us.  Well it opened up an old scar and I'm not having a good day today, so I'm posting my experience 5 years late but I'm posting it.

Attached are our purchase receipts to back up that we purchased the duplicator in 2014, the adapters in 2015, and they rejected our attempt to order a duplicator taking nearly 1.5 months to respond.  If you are considering Addonics for any duplicator or adapter, expect poor quality.  If you are expecting support, change your expectation to you are getting none.  If you expect to be able to return for refund if product doesn't work, scratch that option off as well.  That is what you are dealing with when you buy from a company like Addonics.
