Hired this company because of great references on their website. Movers showed up 2 hours late, either stoned or hungover - they moved like turtles. The move lasted 3 hours longer than quoted, they didn't put my things in the correct rooms, they broke my aquarium - which THEY packed.
I contacted the manager who said that they aren't liable for the damage and that I am not entitled to any of my money back for the extra time because the quote was just an estimate. Admitted no wrong-doing and didn't even apologize for sending crappy employees!

Advanced Moving & Storage's moving crew did not arrive late to this customer. Advanced Moving & storage does not hire drug or alcohol users, we have a high standard for the people we hire and send into our customers homes. Advanced Moving & Storage explained to Laurie that if we were to move her aquarium it should be crated for safe transport. Laurie claimed she could not afford the cost of crating for her aquarium.
Advanced Moving and Storage did not pack this Aquarium and told Laurie that Advanced could not move her aquarium. Laurie insisted to the movers that they move her aquarium, the movers used furniture pads to wrap the aquarium per Laurie's request and Laurie signed a wavier releasing Advanced Moving & Storage of all liability as the aquarium was not properly crated for movement.
Advanced moving & Storage gave Laurie a quote for her move based on the items Laurie told us were to be moved. Advanced moving & Storage's estimates over the phone are only as good as the information our customers supply us with. Advanced Moving & Storage bills on the quarter hour and only charges for the actual time we work. our moving crews are highly trained professionals and do not move like turtles. Our reputation as Laurie stated in her own words speaks for itself. Laurie was charged for the actual time her move took to complete and was given a discount on the travel charge.
It saddens us that this customer has made inaccurate claims about the services Advanced Moving & storage provided.
It saddens us even more that laurie is an unhappy customer.
