Enclosed is information about "Advanced Tech Support "(ATS), which I had purchased their services, 9/20/12 and pd. I believe was $195.00 and 12/13/13 and pd. $250.00. Even though the services was for 1-year. I did not have internet or used the services from Feb.-Nov. 2013.

ATS services are to remotely enter into and fix your computer. Both times, I had contacted them complaints about computer being slow, crashing, etc...

Each time, after 12/13/13, they would fix the computer, a number would show, asking you to call them to give you a report of the findings and it never failed. They would say you had another problem, that would cost more money. I pd. $150.00, also on this date, for the PC-MRI Mal-ware as I was told it was also an anti-virus, software. This person, said it was $200.00 but said she would apply her employees discount for me to have it at $150.00. I have since learned that I could purchase it directly from the PC-MRI website for $150.00.

On 3/31/14, I contacted and continued many times, thereafter, to call with the same problems. This time, I was told, I needed an anti-virus software and how PC-MRI is just a mal-ware.

The tech said I needed an anti-virus, which he could download part of the Panda Mal-ware that also has a anti-virus and how I could have the anti-virus installed at a later date as we agreed, with me giving him my debit card number and contact info, as he was to deduct from the account, in 10-days.

The techs name was Gerry, and left the following info, on my desktop in a tablet, if I needed to contact him. Tech Support, 1-877-934-7469 from 9am-9pm EST, email, feedback@impex.com, Gerry then installed the Panda mal-ware. I was quoted the cost of the Panda anti-mal ware was $149.00 for 1-year, $249.00 for 2-years or $299.00 for a life time, that can also be used if I changed computers. I later learned he had deleted my purchased PC MRI mal-ware.

While Panda was installed, I questioned and was told I didn't need a firewall. I later learned 4/1/14, the Panda software installed is actually free. I then contacted ATS and told them to uninstall Panda and reinstall PC-MRI. At this time, I learned they had not completely uninstalled Panda as requested.

I called ATS, wanting them to remove a software, called "Slow PC Fighter" that did not have an uninstall button. I watched as they were unable to uninstall, so they just renamed it, "Nexus."

I then called them, to inform them of what I had just seen. One of the programs they also used was called I believe Nexus 6. Well, I was told that when our conversation would end, how both of the Nexus software, would be removed. The Nexus software, is still installed.

I had problems with all of my email accounts and then started having problems with my gmail account and called Gerry, leaving a message at 1-877-934-7469 and when he returned the call, on the caller ID, the number showed up as 9-199-999-15172, but showed in the phone records as 919-999-9151. His voice was not clear and sounded muddled. I asked that he return, the call. Same problem. Gerry, then said he would have his friend contact me, who was also a tech, who did, however, we had several drop calls as he called from 2-different number as 661-748-0241 and 661-748-0240, which I have had lots of calls from these numbers. I even had a call to show upon the caller ID as 00-2058.

I closed the bank account, before the time of when the Tech was due to make a withdrawal from the account. Since then, Gerry called and was told about the situation and not to call anymore, but has continued to do so. I have also received many hang-up calls, calls from those not leaving a message, and more telemarketing calls, which I am on the ":Do Not Call List". I believe this to be retaliation done to harass.

I have since, received a free anti-virus software, from a company, that has been in business for approx. 28-years and has never heard of ATS. This tech, went to a page, looking for what he described as an error report and nothing was there, as he said, they have erased stuff, so a tech or no one can trace their wrongs.

I now believe, they have made copies of everything in my computer and files, because I found that some of my word documents, when I went to open clearly says "Attached to Ticket No., while listing 2-different ticket number. Now this is appearing on all my word documents. The day, I brought this to their attention, a 3rd new ticket number appeared as we spoke, but then when our conversation ended, that ticket number was removed, but the other 2, still remain.

I had 3-different home businesses I had attempted to start and pursued vigorously, since 11/23/13.

From all efforts, I have only been able to get 1-customer, between the 3-businesses and believe they are now the result of that. I tried installing Google Antalytics on one of the sites and was not able to do so.

I now presume, they have comprimised my computer, tablet and phone. I am constantly geting the blue screen on my computer, crashing and the mouse moving by itself, my phone I hear echos when I speak, many drop calls, and many tell me to repeat myself, because I am fading in and out. My tablet is getting hot, especially when it is charging and I receive a message, telling me it is to disconnect and it does not hold a charge for long, and when on, it is extremly slow.

On 6/10/14, at 3:40pm, I received a call from a tech, who introduced himself from ATS, from the phone number of 1-877-934-7469. I did a search for this number, which has many complaint as showing as Impex Support, Inc. This is the contact information that was given from the Advanced Tech Support Tech, named Gerry, that worked on my computer, 3/31/14. This tech was saying that he was calling, because he received a report, that I was having problems with my computer for 10-days and how he has been trying to reach me. That's approx. how long I had been having the memory error message that says the following.

Alert! Uncorrectable memory error previously detected in 137F30000h. It has also said it is detected in 137B5000h, 137F000h,  33594000h, 13794000h, 137950000h, and others, just to name a few.  Strike the F1 key to continue, F2 to run the set up utility.

and the following blue screen message that says the following.

Hardware Malfunction

Call your vendor for support

The System has halted

I told this manager, from 1-877-934-7469 of Impex to call me back in 10-minutes. He said they are Microsoft certified technicians. Do a search for this phone number for the many complaints and I have searched to see that Impex nor Impex Support, is not even registered to do business in the state of CA.

I decided to call ATS to inquire about this and while I am on the call, is when Impex, is returning the call twice at 5:17 and 5:18pm. Which was to be returned in 10-minutes, which I did not take this call. ATS said they would not have contacted me with a report of such, nor did they know what I was talking about. One interesting thing that resulted in this conversation is ATS said they didn't have any records or reports, that there was any conversations or work performed on my computer, since Jan. 2014. This tech, even repeated this 5-times. I later phoned and the tech said he could not find any records since 1/20/14. So now they are deleting records, because there has been many, many times that I have contacted them, since.

Impex, called again at 5:29pm this same day and in this conversation, he said he was the manager, then later admitted that he was Gerry. I know I told him at least 4-times not to call me again and he assured me that he would not. I was called again, 6/11/14 at 11:15am.

Since then, I have received 3-phone calls from a government agency, and the number showed up as 4-digits, on my caller ID. I asked was she aware of this and she said this was the first, she heard of this.

I contacted ATS as they assured me, they would be able to get rid of the 3-ticket numbers attached to my word documents. Now it appears they have gotten rid of the first 2, I complained about, however now the last one is still showing. As they were working, I seen that they still had a Panda folder still there, after they were to have uninstalled this twice. The document, which I said was renamed, to Nexus, has been removed, when the date showed it was installed , was on 5/1/14.

ATS has finally called to tell me, that my problem with the error messages is that I need a memory stick that would cost $25.00-$30.00.

Everyone should file your complaints separately, listing the companies individually, with the Federal Trade Commission, IC3, and your State Attorney Generals office.

Advanced Tech Support

AUTHOR: Advanced Tech Support - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, June 17, 2014

Hello

I am very sorry to hear of the recent complications that you have experienced.  Advanced Tech Support is dedicated to making our customers happy.  We would like to hear from you directly so we can correct any and all issues you are experiencing.

The beginning of your report has our correct number.  Later in the report this numbers are not ours.  You have stated that someone has been calling you?  We do not call out unless we speak to you first and you know we are going to call as we set this up.  Cold calling is something we absolutely do not do.

From the looks of your report you have not being in contact with ATS only.   This is a very unfortunate by all too common happening.  Microsoft has a page dedicated to this as well.

http://www.microsoft.com/security/online-privacy/avoid-phone-scams.aspx

Your report looks to go back and forth from ATS and someone that shouldn’t have your information.    It sounds like you have already been in contact with your bank and that’s a good start.  Changing your computer passwords is another precaution you should take.

You stated the following:

On 6/10/14, at 3:40pm, I received a call from a tech, who introduced himself from ATS, from the phone number of 1-877-934-7469. I did a search for this number, which has many complaint as showing as Impex Support, Inc. This tech was saying that he was calling, because he received a report, that I was having problems with my computer for 10-days and how he has been trying to reach me. That's approx. how long I had been having the memory error message that says the following.

This is absolutely something we do not do and a classic case of a phone scam.  We don’t run reports or see reports from your computer and call you.

We are trying to track down this numbers and see who Impex support, Inc. is.     We see Impex support, Inc. a lot in your report this has no affiliation to Advanced Tech Support.

You stated the following:

I decided to call ATS to inquire about this and while I am on the call, is when Impex, is returning the call twice at 5:17 and 5:18pm. Which was to be returned in 10-minutes, which I did not take this call. ATS said they would not have contacted me with a report of such, nor did they know what I was talking about. From what you are saying you are calling ATS and the company Impex is calling you?  We state we have had no record of talking to you since January 2014 and this is probably accurate if you were not talking to us.  If you were indeed talking to another company that is part of a phone scam that this is probably correct.

We have complete records of when and what was done on your system and we keep records in cases just like this.  This is not the first time a phone scam has been done with the scammers using our name.  This happens to all the major remote tech companies and unfortunately is a terrible thing.

We would like to help in any way we can please contact us if you need us.
