There is a website called www.afrointerracialmatch.com, which is based in the UK, and claims to put black women and white men together. However, the profiles are fake, but will lead one to believe that they are real men living in the US. But, the dead giveaway is the manner in which based grammar and English are used in the profiles.

I began to get suspicious when I would receive messages from men who appear to be from both overseas and in the US, but when I tried to reply was led to a different screen which asked me to pay in order to communicate with these men. Although, upon creating my profile, the website advertised that its services were completely free for women. The individual who set up the website has created thousands of fake profiles, and is more than likely collecting thousands of dollars from people around the world, mostly from the US, to communicate with people who do not exist. The pictures in the profiles are people who have been paid for the use of their picture on this website, but that's it. They are like paid actors.

This scam needs to be stopped. So, if you currently have or previously had a profile on this website, please be aware -- look more carefully at what you are doing. Delete your account! Pay close attention and DO NOT put your credit/debit card number onto the site. You are paying for nothing plus setting yourself up for identity theft. Again, the name of the site is www.afrointerracialmatch.com and note that unlike most dating websites, this site does not reveal where they are located or the name of the company that processes their payments -- another red flag!

Help me get this website shut down by filing a complaint with the attorney general in your state. State attorneys general have the power to investigate who created the website, and possibly refund money to victims. And, you may want to think about contacting a consumer reporter where you live to expose the website as well as warn others not to conduct business with this website.
