Do not do business with this company - Airbone Drones , 37 Koeberg Rd, Cape Town, 7405, South Africa - airbornedrones.co

I was robbed because  after payng full, only  part of the items  I bought, where  delivered. Even the  drone I recieved does not meet the specifications,  and is useless.

My complaints always generate a lot of os excuses and promises, clearly with no intention of solving the problem. Only to pospone  it.

Mr. John James Geber (chap@airbornedrones.co), who owns the company AIRBORNE DRONES (airbornedrones.co) is neither scrupulous nor ethical. He is also a liar and does not prove to be ashamed of it.
The drones he manufactures and delivery, unlike those advertised on his website, are of poor quality, and simply do not work.
This person is a stoner and should be in jail for the financial crimes he caused and is causing, for the harm he causes to everyone who buys his products.
I repeat: DO NOT BUY AND DO NOT PROVIDE ANYTHING FOR THIS COMPANY BECAUSE YOU WILL BE FOOLED AND WILL LOSE YOUR MONEY.

Airbornedrones is a Scam! No Ethics! No Integrity! No Morals!

AUTHOR: Airbornedronesscam - (South Africa)

POSTED: Sunday, December 10, 2017

Dear All,

Before you proceed let me share with you a little about the company background and what they have done the past 3 years. The first part of the stories are unsubstantiated claims made by them. They started out in 2015 with a Vanguard model capable of 77min. It has never been tested at 77min and even when they conduct demos or training with the customer it's all controlled and only showing near by distance, low altitude and thermal if you have purchase the capabilities. Eventually the claims increased to 94min for SD and 77 for HD. As you can see in the video it's only hovering for 50 minutes why they didn't go the full length remains unanswered. Even other drones who make claims will actually show the duration or the distance of their flights. Their specifications have continue to changed ie

sometimes its 30x optical zoom sometimes it 10x, pricing will also keep changing. In the beginning they will display pricing on the website, then it gets taken down eventually there's none. You will also notice in their website fantastic information and selection on different types of sensors especially for Falcon model. They will just state starting at USD6,999 to make it looks attractive but in actual fact it's far from the truth. David Bezuidenhout is the sales guy who you will probably make contact with. He's not very knowledgeable and you will know when you start in asking more technical stuff. He's a brochure sales man and probably be better off modelling for some cheap magazines. John

James Gerber (owner's son) whom you will probably not be able to see him unless you have made a purchase or drop by the factory with some potential customers. He's a very secretive guy and you will probably think he's a hippy 70's type character. He does not give a s**t who you are and will try to size you up first before he's bullshit starts flowing freely. It's kind of irony since South Africa is famous for springbok meat and bullshit! Ok here comes the best part of this statement which by the way are back up by proof (video). I will let you be the judge of what transpired: 1) What do you do when you are on the way to the Airborne factory for an important visit and you have your

potential customers with you and you received a call stating that "are you on the way? Oh I thought you are suppose to be coming in the next day? Oh we are not ready yet and we need time to set up the Vanguard for the demo, etc" 2) What do you do when you reach the factory only to be greeted by David and some admin staff when John should be at hand since he's the owner and it's always an honour for someone / potential customer to be visiting your factory? 3) What do you do when they already inform you the very last minute that they are not prepared (even though the visit was plan months ago and confirm by them sending an itinerary unless of course they are on a

different time zone!) so don't expect that the meeting will go as plan. It was quite awkward when the customers have given name cards and not the seller! What we got in return thankfully was some good local coffee and cookies. 4) Ok since things were so last minute and we are trying our best to accommodate your guests, let me show you some videos on Striker Long Range Fixed Wing which by way we have a frame with wheels and gimbal (no sensors) which we are working on to deliver to our customer. Let's also show you some videos which can all find in youtube, and on their Instagram, vimeo no big deal as non of it shows real endurance 94 min and flight distance 35km showing video

relay. 5) John decided to pop in after 30 min and just sat down no introduction at all like we were so immerse in our conversation that he shouldn't interrupt. In fact he just casually join in the conversation and guess what?? YES the bullshit started! Again we have video proof so substantiate our claims. 6) The reason for not able to do any demo is due to the weather (strong winds) so let's fly it indoors. Of course firstly they will get their qualified engineer to explain about the difference in flying indoors due to the wind creating a vortex effect that will push the drone downwards hence you will need more power (battery) to keep it hovering. We waited patiently and of course we hope

to see at least 80 to 90% of the flight time (my calculations is just an estimate and the figures wasn't provided by their qualified engineer despite their knack of providing engineering calculations to support their claims) Demo stopped at 55 mins mark and John state that oh the poor operator is already tired of constantly controlling the drone and yes we have 15 mins balance in our battery. Did they show us the flight controller to prove that the balance is 55min? Nope! Did we even had a chance to test out? Nope due to indoor so it's dangerous. By the way those who attended are qualified drone operators and even have commercial pilot license. Of course by now about half the day

is gone...more coffee anyone? Let's call it a day and hoped that the next day the weather will permit a demo that will answer all the questions. 7) The following day the weather was a little wet so there's nothing much to do but wait out for a while. You get to see the factory, take some pictures, etc but no demo yet. Suddenly John decided that the weather is getting better so let's have a quick outdoor demo on Falcon. A short 15 min drive and we arrived at a farm suppose belonged to one of the directors where we have open unobstructed space hence no issue on no fly zone which by the way he keeps emphasizing to let us know it's really really difficult to fly a long range drone in South

Africa. Can you believe that South Africa with vast amount of open space and there's actually a lot of air space restrictions to fly drones? Anyway the set up was done in about 10 to 15 min with some fiddling and hush conversation among John and his crew. Falcon took off and over the field (elevated) and suddenly they realized that the drone has disappeared, signal was lost. You should have seen the look on their faces but worse still the potential customers who were there have just witness first hand a so called professional drone manufacturer. Another 20 mins or so waiting and the hunt was over as John was so elated that he found the drone so the accomplishment at that

moment of time was able to locate a lost drone! I didn't know that we are looking at product demo on locating lost drones! Anyway some excuses if the signal was cut off because we were huddling over the operator and the video link...hmmm signal can be cut off so easily? Reason the Falcon was setup for indoor so they turn off all RTH, GPS, Fail Safe and amazingly as a so called professional drone maker there's no flight / inspection protocol to follow! More bullshit to follow...John was practically screaming at the operator to change mode since he suddenly realized the settings were wrong and since there were so many distractions the operator couldn't hear John's instructions and that

causes the drone to land eventually. John also state that "hey after we recovered it we were flying over the hill from where we found it and close to you guys but you were too busy with your phones to notice the drone! Again all these claims were debunked as there was a complete video showing the whole incident. So how do you managed one failure after another, one bullshit after another? Guys let's break for lunch and we will set up again later for sure. Of course that didn't happen as we were taken so far away for late lunch and by the time we were ready it was already evening and John was like hey you know the engineers have all gone home...can you make it tomorrow for the demo

instead? Or here's a better one....we have one old Vanguard coming in for refurbishing as we can use that for the demo once it's cleared for customs. (They have Vanguard in the office but they can't used that! No excuse given cause after a while you just wonder whatever that is coming out from John's mouth is true or false) 8) There's nothing much left to do but to fly back home (22 hours) and wait for the promise videos. 9) More excuses to follow in emails...of course quotations will come faster as it seems that they are very eager to sell but then again quotes are all wrong, best part is David is also not sure what the hell he quoted! Have you ever come across a sales person who

quotes something and he's not sure what it is?? 10) Cape Town is a beautiful place with nice people and food but it was totally destroyed by unscrupulous companies who doesn't give hoot about make unsubstantiated claims and if you ever want to learn how to give fantastic excuses you should visit Airbornedrones and look for John James Gerber the best bullshitter in town. I can't believe it either that the staff that works for him are either blind or oblivious to the fact that their own Boss is cheating the customers. It could be times are bad and it's better to keep my mouth shut and take home my salary. I guess they forgotten that it's the customer's money that their Boss cheat that is paying

them not their Boss's money! I shall be posting many many more in the next few days and you are welcome to email me for more evidence and proof at airbornedronesscam@gmail.com

UNTRUE INACCURATE ALLEGATIONS

AUTHOR: Company Response - (South Africa)

POSTED: Friday, April 07, 2017

Airborne Drones values its customers and always strives to always satisfy its' wide variety of 'blue-chip' companies across the globe. The UAV market though is a very new industry and satisfied customers are not always guaranteed. We would like to make respond to Mr Ferreira's complaints and include the following extract of our last communication to Mr Ferreira in this regard:

FAZENDA MEANDROS

CLAUDIO MARTINS FERREIRA “Per email”

Dear Claudio.

AIRBORNE DRONES (PTY) LTD / FAZENDA MEANDROS – CLAUDIO MARTINS FERREIRA

We refer to the above mentioned matter as well as your email letter dated 20 February

2017.

.....

Whilst it is apparent from the contents of your aforesaid letter that your intentions remain to attack and defame the company, we believe that such an approach is counterproductive and far divorced from an individual whom seeks to resolve an alleged product issue.

The salient facts relating to the matter are as follows:

1. Upon notice of your dissatisfaction concerning alleged issues with your product,

Airborne Drones facilitated the despatch of a technician to your country (Brazil) at

the company’s expense, to assess and rectify any alleged issues;

2. Having conducted and documented the necessary tests (per our standards test) to

ensure and confirm that all alleged technical issues were duly rectified, our

technician requested that he return to South Africa (such request was made directly

to you by both the technician as well as the company);

3. It is now common cause that you were unsatisfied with the aforesaid tests and

therein demanded (telephonically and through electronic mail) that he remained in

your custody to satisfy your preconceived form of testing the product;

4. You refused to allow the technician to return home on the above basis;

5. Our technician, whom has subsequently returned, has provided our office with a

report in which he is satisfied that during such visit, he was able rectify all technical

issues which the product allegedly possessed.

Considering the above the company is satisfied that it has fulfilled all its contractual

obligations towards you.

Should you however differ in your assessment of the matter and therein still maintain your stance (that the product still possesses technical issues), the company then in such instance suggests, in a final attempt to settle this matter amicably, the following:

1. You return the product to our offices in an unaltered condition;

2. The company therein tenders to replace your allegedly defective system with a

completely new system.

We trust that you shall be guided accordingly in this regard and that sanity shall prevail.

We await your urgent response herein."

CEO

Airborne Drones (Pty) Ltd

.....................................................................

We await Mr Ferreira's assistance and cooperation in this matter in order to fully resolve any outstanding issues..
