All Headline News Did not pay $800 owed for news writing they agree they owe but will not pay ripoff West Palm Beach Florida

Between September and November of 2006 I wrote news stories for All Headline News. I was hired by AHN owner Jeff Brown and told I would be paid every 30 days. I quit in early November because I was not paid for October. They owe me close to $800.

At first they gave a lot of excuses while agreeing that the money had been due. The "cheque was in the mail" and such excuses. Now they will not answer calls or e-mail. I contacted the Better Business Bureau and Chamber of Commerce in West Palm Beach. The Chamber says they dumped AHN in Noovember 2006 and the BBB says they have "earned" an "unsatisfactory" rating because they do not respond to complaints. I also had my lawyer write them and they did not respond to him. This is apparently what owner Jeff Brown does when people complain. As far as the content and writing I can only suggest you go to the website and see for yourself and make your own judgements. I am an Edward R. Morrow and several other major award winning journalist who had to retire early because of complications from diabetes and other health problems. I took the job because i thought it would give me some money to by drugs (prescription) needed to sustain my life.

$800 may not be a lot of money to people with a full decent salary, but when you are trying to exist on social security, it is a large amount. Because this is an interstate situation since i live in Shepherd, Michigan and they are in Florida, it is not as simple as going to small claims court.

It would cost more to sue interstate then the amount involved. This is where con-artists like Jeff Brown at AHN are able to get away with their scams. I urge all journalists and advertisers to boycott All Headline News as they have not proved to be an honest company. If you go to their website, they have openings in all states and several countries in all positions, this should have warned me, but I was foolish. I can only expose their scam to as many people as posible so no one else gets
ripped off by them.
