#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds
Evansville All-Tune & Lube

Just wanted to clarify a few things. All tune is a Franchise open to anyone willing to put up cash. I worked there for nearly a year for a friend's brother who gave me the job to help me out. This man did not leave in the middle of the night, as accused by the original complaint, rather he stayed in the building for nearly 6 months after the business closed and went bankrupt due to slow sales and lack of support. He paid me several months out of his own pocket when things were bad. This was a good man trying to make a go of his dream and he got taken by a wicked company who was out to make a fast buck. He cared about his customers and loves cars and doing mechanical work. He was probably the one who should have turned his own wrenches, as he was much better at it than most of his hired help ever was. Don't be too quick to judge the owner, he did everything he could to make it fly, but when the money's not coming in, you have to know when to cut your losses before it takes everything you have. As for the maintenance plans, that's what the franchise wanted to market to the public, but they weren't around to make sure the owner was getting the tools he needed to grow his business and prosper so when he was forced to close, I'm sure there were some unused cards still out there. Have these people inquired about using them at another location? As far as another business on Green River Rd, That is false. The gentleman I worked for bought a Valvoline quick lube that came for sale in front of his all tune business, but he also sold it to help bail out all-tune, but that was it. He was also the most cordial and polite person when an angry customer came in with a problem, usually a problem created by one of his mechanics whom I thought never had much of a work ethic, and in my opinion thats where his problems started. He trusted and had faith in his people and gave the benefit of the doubt when he probably should have booted them, but I was not in a position to say. But in closing, If he opened another shop, I would be the first in line to let him have my business because I know above all else he is the most honest business owner I have ever dealt with. You take this however you wish.
