I keep getting called by a Jamican lady out of a Philipines call center on behalf of Ally Financial. This lady is lying and using Illegal calling techniques. I am late on my payment yes I know this, but she is now calling my father telling him she is going to reposses my car? wtf? She also called my brother threatening the same? this is illegal in the US by the way - you would think a company like Ally Financial would not allow this to happen. I dont even know how they got my fathers and brothers info? I have reported this several times to ally and they have done nothing. consumer advoactes need to look into this - ally your good name is being tarnished eith extremley poort customer service.

Here's "WTF"!

AUTHOR: Jim - ()

You freely admitted YOU are late on your payment.  When YOU are late on YOUR payment, YOU turn on the collection machine.  If you don't want them calling you, then pay your bills on time.  The people who call you aren't "customer service".  They are their BILL COLLECTORS.  Fail to make YOUR payments, they will repo the car.  Its in your contract which YOU agreed to!  Next time you go mouthing off about what is or isn't legal, perhaps you should check with your law school professor first so you don't appear as a complete dummy.

Don't bother wasting the effort saying so, because I don't work for them.

Why don't you open up a regular checking account at your national or local community bank?

It sounds like you have a lot of growing up to do. There is no good reason to have a reloadable card like this as your only resource for funds. Why don't you have a regular bank account?

This particular card is known as a "fee harvester" type card: in other words, you pay lots of fees for things that most of us with regular bank accounts get for free. According to Money Crashers, this pre-paid Rush card is the WORST pre-paid card offered in the USA!

Here is a quote from Money Crashers:

Worst Prepaid Card

According to The New York Times, “Prepaid debit cards are among the consumer banking industry’s fastest-growing products, but often their convenience comes with hidden fees.” The Prepaid Visa RushCard is an example of this type of card. The RushCard offers 2 basic plans. The Pay-As-You-Go plan has a hefty $19.95 activation fee and all signature and PIN transactions cost $1 per transaction. ATM withdrawals are $1.95 a piece. The other option is to become a monthly member, which has the following fees:

  1. $9.95 Monthly Account Maintenance Fee
  2. $3.00 Card Activation Fee
  3. $2.00 Enrollment Fee For Online BillPay
  4. $1.00 Bill Payments
  5. $1.00 Paper Statement Fee

Wake up!  It is up to you now to learn how to manage your finances and stop blaming others for your choices. There are free resources to learn how to balance your bank account and how to make a budget along with learning to fix your credit. All these things go hand in hand.

Don't blame it on being a single mother. Just because you are female doesn't mean you don't know how to think. Use this event to make a positive change in your life.
