Lucikly, I had heard about this type of scam and did an internet search for information about this supposedly wonderful thing that happened to me. So, I avoided being caught in the position of being ripped off. But, I have to say when I first opened the envelope and saw the check and letter, I thought that it might just be my lucky day. It is! I did not get scammed!. Like the old saying goes, "If it seems too good to be true, it isn't".
