Alt Tele-Com Inc - MORTGAGEMEND, LLC - Modifications.com - ConsumerCounseling.com - Modification.org does not deliver! Dania Beach, Florida

I paid Modifications.com $1995.00 in January of this year and they informed me that they started the process of modifying my home loan but that it may take up to but not to exceed 90 day. Well, here it is September and still no modification.

This thing felt wrong from the beginning, especially when the representative(Mary kept telling us to use the money we would normally use for our mortgage, to pay her company for their services. I resisted but the rep sounded so concerned for our situation and promised how her company was able to help so many people in our situation and even get their rate down to 2%. Finally, after mulling over this process for weeks, I gave in out of desperation.

After a few weeks our account was turned over to an attorney's office to deal directly with my mortgage lender. All requested paperwork was submitted to the attorney's office(same paperwork requested by Modifications.com).

After a couple of months of not hearing anything from the attorney's office, we called to check status and were told that our lender was a "tough one" but that they would handle them. We then called our lender to see what was going on and were told that they had never been contacted by anyone regarding our account. We then called Modifications.com and asked "KAT" (aka Kelly)] for a refund of our money. Instead of saying yes or no, she said she would contact the attorney's office and get on it. Then she called back and said that she took care of it and they were going to proceed and make it happen.

Another month goes by and I find out(after calling) from the attorney's office that my account is being handled by another rep(Carmen). Carmen tells me that too much time has gone by and we are going to have to resubmit all the paperwork. So, we do that. Wait a while and then are told that she will be retiring soon and another rep will be handling our account. I then ask why we we are paying for their services. "What can they do for us that the mortgage company can't? I am then told that they "know how to make the financial paperwork show what the lender is looking for". I knew this was not on the up and up but since we were getting a new rep and resubmitting paperwork again, I thought the next person might be legit. Again, after a month or more of no contact, I called to ask what was going on and was told not to contact my lender or they will not deal with me any more.

At this point I sent several emails to Modifications.com stating that I want a full refund and to not have the attorney's office call me again as I do not want to deal with them. I have not gotten any response from Modifications.com and realize that I will not be hearing from them no matter how long I try to reach them.

This company (and all of it's aliases) is very cloak and dagge as they have several names and web sites but none of their correspondence has any street address on it. They do not want you to find them because thay are a big scam. They will take your money and then put you through the ringer! Don't be fooled!
