Heavy batteries were packaged on top of panels.

Design was better suited to a very southern USA latitude while mine is 48 degrees.  This resulted in a lot of guess work. 

Instructions were poor.  Needed several contacts with AltE to get some of what I needed.  Hardware packages had missing components.  When I asked about getting a drawing showing how wires on panels should be connected, they wanted me to send and additional $150 for them - basic instructions not included!

Made it seem like kit had everything needed except wires only to find that I had to purchace 3 inch schedule 40 pipe locally.  At the very least, this should have been made known.

As a customer I see that the owner of this store states that the report filed was a competitor. Be that or not I can atest to the fact that the ALT E store is pathetically incompetent......If you want your products to actually arrive without a lot of red tape I recommend that you avoid at all cost

Over the last several months the owner of Freetricity.com has unfortunately gone on a malicious campaign to unjustly deface and libel AltE (including creating websites with our domain name but different suffixes - e.g. .net) after a thread was started on the Forum of AltE's website about the public's experiences with Freetricity.

In the thread members of the public commented about their interactions with Freetricity (mostly negative), their product and in one case a lawsuit between an apparent dealer of Freetricity and Freetricity itself. Unfortunately, this thread appears in the top google search ranking when you search on the company's name.

Our forum is there for the public to talk about anything relating to renewble energy. Freetricity apparently produces a wind turbine. We allow postings onto our website as long as they are relevant to renewable energy and not personal attacks or insults.

He has used many aliases on our own public Forum, threatening and insulting other public members posting to the forum, our own staff and AltE as a whole. He has called our offices on multiple occasions threatening AltE and sent numerous insulting and taunting emails to our IT staff.

During this onslaught of slanderous activity we have chosen to take what we believe to be the high ground and follow our company values of honesty, integrity, respect for others and being a positive influence. We have chosen to allow the thread to exist because the public is voicing it's opinion on a renewable energy topic. We have even allowed several posts by many of aliases used by the owner of Freetricity to remain when they were rebuttals to other postings and we're relevant to either the company, our company or products. However, we did remove personal attacks and insults by him and, in the few times it occurred, by the victims of his attacks (who attacked back with insults) as part of our belief in respect for others.

We have worked very hard in building up our company brand name and reputation within this blossoming industry of renewable energy as a group of folks who love what they do, want to make renewable energy easier for as many as possible, provide friendly service and work hard to be as knowledgeable as possible about the alternative energy products, systems and educational services we offer. The "easiest" thing for us to have done is to simply bend to the blackmail and delete the thread, hoping that Freetricity would in turn remove the slanderous websites using our trademark name and reports such as this one. However, we have decided this censoring of public opinions on our Forum about renewable energy products and services is not acceptable as it goes against our company values - even though it could be seen as "better" financially for the company.

We believe that the public will ultimately see us for who we really are - a company that for the last 10 years has been made up of dedicated, friendly and honest people who have a strong passion for renewable energy and seeing DIY'ers across the globe size, buy and install solar and wind energy systems safely and successfully. We encourage the public to feel free to contact any one of the manufacturers of the products we represent for an objective opinion of AltE.
