On 4/8/06 a young man by the name of Mo stopped by my house claiming to sell magazines to earn points for college. Usually I don't buy from solicitors but he was pushy and indicated he had a baby and was trying to earn points for college to better his life. So I ordered a magazine and paid 1/2 ($12.50) the amount due but after he left I became suspicious.
I noticed the "receipt/invoice" has no phone number and no physical address and no disclosures to authenticate the company. I do want to mention this man used the ID# EM518.
I decided to do some research and came across this site with many complaints. As a result I will not be sending in the balance within 2-10 days as I was told. I now believe this is a scam and I want people to be aware of it.
For anyone who reads this please be aware the AM Press Associates (Mags R Us) is a ripoff/scam. Do not buy from this company or its solicitors.
