I created an Amazon Seller Account to sell a few items to make some money for Christmas. I had the account for a couple of weeks and sold 5 items all of which were shipped with no complaints. I checked my e-mail today and Amazon has blocked my seller account and is holding the $500 I made for 90 days! They will not give me a reason! I've appealed and asked for a reason and they responded with this:

Thank you for writing about your selling account.

We regret that your account has failed our review process.  Your account has been closed and you are no longer eligible to sell on our site.

Please note that we will be unable to correspond further about this situation.

The blocking of your account is a permanent action. We take such steps in the interest of maintaining a free and fair venue for all participants.

I responded asking them about the "review process" they are speaking of and they BLOCKED MY EMAIL address! I begged them not to hold my $500 as this is my Christmas money and money to get home to see my mother, who is very ill. Why would they do this? I had NO buyer complaints! Can anyone help me get my money back?

They DID the SAME TO ME!!

AUTHOR: Ryan - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, December 18, 2011

I as well live in Houston, TX and they did this to me. I have been a seller for years though with 5 star feedback!!! Also there is a link on their own site where people on Amazon as well were scammed from selling and keeping there money! Over thousands of perfect sellers were screwed. I reported this to BBB and they are helping me out, you should do the same. On the forums of Amazon's site they are talking about a class action lawsuit.

This hold is standard now

Standard policy both with Amazon and Ebay to protect buyers who encounter issues within the normal time frame Amazon gives its own customers to return something. They probably enacted this following an upsurge in customer complaints against marketplace sellers. Anyone wanting to sell there has to be able to ride out the hold period.

If you're certain you had no customer complaints or other issues, then maybe they axed you over your appeal against the hold. How strident were you with them? Were you bellicose or did you write anything that could be taken as offensive?
You may need to fall on your sword on this. Try their executive offices.
