I am currently in foreclosure with AMC Mortgage Services a/k/a Ameriquest. I just received two letters: one addressed to me and one addressed to a Theresa Nickles (whom I have never heard of) stating that if I don't pay the total due by November 28, 2005, they will use their power of sale clause.
When I called AMC, they told me that "Theresa Nickles" was on my Deed and she is also on as one of the obligators on my loan, and they even had a Social Security number listed for her!!!!
I would like to know who Theresa Nickles is. No other person has been on my deed besides myself and no one else is on my loan to Ameriquest/AMC Mortgage Services.
The lady put me on hold for 10 minutes while she was transferring me to someone "who could help me". Finally, I just hung up and I am still waiting to hear how they got this so messed up.
Do not do business with Ameriquest or AMC Mortgage Services.

Some answers for you.

Katherine,
I found this information while talking to several people about the forclosure process.
When your house is sold at the sheriff's sale alot of the time no one bids on it, so the mortgage company buys it back in the sale. Because the sale is not always published in a regular paper that everyone see's.That would be their realtor that came to your door and gave you the info that the mortgage had been reassigned and that the mortgage company now owns the house.
I also found out that you have around 30 days +/- to vacate the property.
Unfortunetly when this kind of thing happens people don't know how this process works and the Sheriff's office,(I know around here) does not give info unless you call and ask or talk with and attorney.
I can't say much more in regards to my situation, but my report is on this website for anyone to read.
I know this info probably will not help much but I thought I would share, I had W/M when I first purchased my house and it was not any better with them either.

Ameriquest a/k/a AMC Mortgage Services / Washington Mutual

AMC Mortgage Services foreclosed on my home and supposedly the auction was held on January 7, 2006. I received a letter notifying me of the auction date and that the mortgage was reassigned to Washington Mutual.
A real estate agent came to my door a month after the auction and announced that my home did not sell but the mortgage company owns it now. Why would Ameriquest/AMC reassign my mortgage to Washington Mutual?
Shouldn't I be receiving some type of correspondence letting me know what has happened since the auction date of January 7, 2006, and the amount needed to redeem?
All of this reassigning mortgages is really confusing me.
Do not ever do any business with Ameriquest or AMC and now I'm wondering about Washington Mutual also........
If anyone can provide some information or advice, I would truly appreciate it. Thanks

I don't know how this cut and paste is going to show up here, but I hope you can make some sense of it. I pulled the title information for Theresa Nickles in Roseville, MI. There is an Ameriquest loan on this property it appears.
I hope this helps you sort out your problem.
