on the 16th of nov I received a reply to an inquire that I had send days before on a website that was listing franchise http://www.franchising.com/platinum.php. The reply was from one Dave Lambert, whom I contacted by phone to get more information about the business. I check out his information on the internet and saw that his business and phone number matched.

I decided to go ahead and do the business and he provided me with a link to paypal to pay for the packages. i did and so on the 24th of nov my money was withdrawn form my account;11/24/2006 Master Money Purchase PAYPAL *APEX 4029357733 CA $1,275.00 . He told me that the website would be up in a couple days and that my sample kit would be here the following week ...

on the 24th of nov I e-mailed Dave Lambert about why is the website not up and why didnt I receive the sample kit he told me that Heather is working on the website and the sample kit was on its way. On the 29th od nov he sent a reply about the website: The is in the process of being uploaded. Currently, you will only see a "Default Page" http://www.patowelsandscrubs.com Dave

ok so i waited again on the 30th another e-mail: Site is up: http://www.patowelsandscrubs.com/store/commerce.cgi Sample kit is shipped via UPS Ground. Dave Lambert 1-727-233-1111 also on the 30th of nov I got a email asking Which market do you wish to pursue first? Medical Scubs or Towel Market?

I looked at the website and the pricelist on dec 2nd and wrote this letter to Dave Lambert Hi Dave , I was really disappointed when I look at the price that I have to pay for the merchandise , coming from a factory I think they were high, also the profit margin does not look lucrative . I feel as though I will be advertising for you guy ,If I should get a merchant also the fees I would be paying would take away my profit.

the bottom line is I don't think I should be paying for a web site that's making me pennies. If I wanted an affiliate program I could get one of those program that offers a free web site.

I was under the impression the prices on the web site you showed me were going to be the prices on my web site, with a price list that would be 25-50% mark down for me . I have looked on most of the prices and yet to see that. I am not happy...Lorna

this was the answer i got:Lorna: The prices on your site are retail prices your customers would pay. Your profit margin ranges from 35% to 50%. Therefore on a $500.00 order your profit would in the range of $250.00. I don't consider that pennies. A merchant account would cost you in the range of 2.5% , which on a $500.00 order would cost you $12.50 , which is not bad considering you don't have to wait to get a check in the mail. It's the cost of doing business.

Your other option would be to utilize PayPal, which would cost you around 3%, but, you have no monthly fees. In any retail/wholesale environment any business person would love to have a net profit margin of 30& to 45%. When you grow your business to 500,000 to 1,000,000 in gross revenue and your making $350K to 500K, I think you will be very happy. Your in a very good business if your work the biz. hi dave, the amswer is we have over 1000 items, and we average 35-45 percent, some items are used as attention getters, and when they buy bath towels they also buy hand towels and wash cloths, and as you know we make almost 50 percent on the 15 x 25 hand towel, cost 5.60 we sell it for 8 per dz, there is plenty of profit, and all these markups and methods are clearly on the site, there is nothing new, you have the ability to raise any prices, my plan is to have the best looking prices right away to get as many orders asap, and referrals, thank you howard ps. where does it say you will make 250 dollars on every 500 dollar order, the web site shows 25 - 50 percent , very clear,

I kept asking for my monies back and the kept telling me There was no refund. after trying with no way of getting my money back i decided I would give it a try. Its dec 8 website not done jan 1st did not receive sample kit.

jan 1st website still not done. its now jan 10 i already mailed out the business cards and the website e-mail and shopping basket is not working .I e-mail Dave everything seem to be a surprize to him and its alway someone elses fault.

On the 22 of march i e-mail Dave i think i have been very patient and work night and morning adding my site to search engines and submitting ads to craigslist and so on with no progress, so I sent him this e-mail: See this is not working as I told you . I didn't want to do it and I need my money back and you said give it a try ok i have been working my a*s off promoting this site and I now you really need to return my money or there is going to be a legal problem ....
