On August 26, 2010 I acquired the services of American Residential Law Group to handle my loan modification with US BANK HOME MORTGAGE.

Tom Thompson assured me that they could help. After signing the contract and paying 1550.00 it became impossible to get in contact with them.

My home was listed for foreclosure and only after I left a rude voice message was I contact by Gissell informing me that I was missing paperwork and USBANK said it had to be in by that night.

After waiting several days I contacted USBANK who informed me that I had to submit a new package. Gisselle called and told me the house would not be foreclosed on and that everything was sent to USBANK.

I received a letter from American Residential Lawyer Group dated 12/17/2010 postmark 12/20/2010 informing me that they would no longer be able to handle my modification because of the FTC Mortgage Assistance Relief Service Rule.

I received a certified letter dated 12/21/2010 and post marked 12/22/2010 from USBANK stating the house would be sold at auction 1 Feb 2011.

In the letter from ARLG it states that as a courtesy they have confirmed that USBANK has the modification package and they are closing my file and direct all questions to my lender.

Why would the bank foreclose if ARLG had sent the modification package.

I also have filed a complaint with the BBB and Attorney General.

Rule Outlaws Advance Fees and False

Claims, Requires Clear Disclosures

Homeowners will be protected by a new Federal Trade Commission rule that bans providers of mortgage foreclosure rescue and loan modification services from collecting fees until homeowners have a written offer from their lender or servicer that they decide is acceptable.

This is why none of us can get in touch with ARLG. I have spoken with my bank, and thank goodness they have postpone my foreclosure until March and allowing me to file a loan modification.

I spoke with Tom Thompson with ARLG several times and researched this company and thought that I had found an honest one. Tom knew that my husband was in the hospital battling cancer and I have Parkinson's disease. He told me "Trust Me" there is no way I would take advantage of you and your husband.

When they would not return calls or answer emails. I left a message for Tom, thanking him for taking my money and having to tell my husband I had lost our home.

Well Tom, I hope there will be enough of us to file suit against you and attorney Jacobi I hope they disbar you. I also kept every email and have a timeline for phone calls.

I hope others will search for this group and find this message and run as fast as they can.

In a perfect world ARLG hot shots will find out what its like to lose their home.
