If you do buy auto insurance from this company (also through Costco) you will be ripped off. This company uses intimidation and will only offer you a percentage of what it costs to repair your vehicle.
An example. This company says on their Costco website that they will save you about $450.00 with their insurance. What they are not telling you is that if you are in an accident they will provide you a car three years older than yours and will not pay to have the other person's car completely fixed. In this care she saved $450.00 (maybe) but because Ameriprise will not cover the expenses to repair my car I will have to sue her for over $2,000.00. So in essence Ameripise has made money off of not only their own customers but also innocent victims.
On September 21, 2011 a lady ran A red light and hit me she was 100% in the Wrong! Her's was totalled and she had to accept a car three years older than her NEW wrecked one. I am expected to take 85% when she ran the red light and hit me. It doesn't matter whether you are at fault or not. Today's date February 15, 2012 and my car is still not fixed!
So, don't be a victim. DO NOT BUY AMERIPRISE AUTO INSURANCE from them or Costco.
