Does anyone know what "cash for keys" is all about. This scummy guy working for AMC is trying to get in touch with a homeowner where I work to offer them cash for keys. Sounds like a rip off to me!

Cash for keys is legit

AUTHOR: Cctaco - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, December 16, 2008

I work in the reo market, and provide cash for keys to people in foreclosed homes. What we do is make a cash offer for the tenants to move out quickly and clean out the home being forclosed on. They win by getting some money upto $3,000.00 cash and the bank wins because they can sell the home.

Go Figure

AUTHOR: Rhonda - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, May 30, 2007

We lost out home to Aquest. Our final day at our home was to be the 12th of May I responded to the cash for Keys subject on May 16th and go figure the following week a Realitor contact my husband at work offering cash for keys.

Do these Idiots not know who is doing what in their own company. I asked my husband did you say yes? Why wait for the sheriff to stop by and change the locks which still has not been done when we have someone willing to hand over money for the keys?

And here I am calling the kettle black We were the ones to take a loan with these people so I will admitt to being an Idiot for that.

I did do a search on cash for keys or as seen on the net as CFK it seems to be legal on their end it is also their way of cutting cost to get someone out of their home offer a certain amount for keys or pay court cost, lawyer fees and time spent for eviction process.

At this point I strive to find humor in what has happened to my family with dealing with these people or else you might as well reserve a padded cell for me at the local looney bin.
I didn't think they could top sending the beginning paper work to evict us to the wrong county court but now they have offered us money for something the court already gave them. Makes you think huh but yet they are the ones that have our home guess it pays to be stupid or better yet stupid with enopugh money to line some pockets.

Take care all hope your able to keep your homes.

Cash for Keys sounds like Cash to moveout

AUTHOR: Rhonda - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, May 16, 2007

Is this person in their redemption period? Cash for Keys sounds like what we went through besides the calls from a man that refused to give last name would call and offer us money to moveout also they hired a couple of realistate people that would come by the house to make same offer each time they would call or stop by he amount would be less.

I am not sure if it is legal or not have them check with a lawyer or better yet get a lawyer before their redemption time is over once eviction papers are served it's to late. We spent last week moving out of a house my family has owned for 23 years.

Best of luck to any one that has a mortgage with these people.
