First, they attempted to overcharge me on the phone, when I made the reservation. The website said 109 for Sat nights in May.. they wanted to charge 169.. when I balked, they relented. When I arrived, they gave me a room in the annex (?), and told me it was because I should have paid 189. Not 169, mind you, but 189.
The room was unclean, the refrigerator did not work and stunk, the cable wasn't plugged into the TV.. the maid threw a towel over the soap that was STUCK on the tub ledge. A whole bar!
This motel is not fit for adults.. maybe high school kids on senior week.. the staff was also rude and patronizing.
I will not go back, nor will I recommend to any.

All of us a the Amethyst Beach Motel take customer satisfaction seriously.
This is a family run Motel located in the heart of beautiful Point Pleasant Beach NJ, our location close to the amusement area and beach contributes to an extremely high demand for our units, facility maintenance and housekeeping are performed daily, however there are times when certain things may be forgotten or overlooked.
We pride ourselves on responding appropriately and with special considerations for any guest who might express concerns regarding any aspect of there stay with us.
