Instant Checkmate I don't know, but somehow I have been subscribed to some site that withdraws 29.30 dollars from my account monthly. I'd like to know, who, and how to stop this i don't know California

Hi, a site known as instant checkmate has been withdrawing 29.63 dollars from my account monthly.
I believe these to be fraudulent charges, as I'm not fully familiar with the website, or why I would use it. I was trying to find the phone number of my father (estranged, after 10 or so years) and believe I had to pay perhaps a dollar as a registration fee, however, I see now it has been withdrawing 29.63 dollars from my account monthly, without my permission.
I would like to cancel the payments, and ideally get my money back.
Please let me know what can be done about this.

It's well beyond five days, is it still possible to cancel the subscription?

I filed a complaint against this compnay too and for several reasons and one being that they solicit more money after you have joined.
However, in their defense, they do clarly state that you will be billed about $30 monthly upon joing at the $1.00 level. The offer does state that you may cancel at any time within five days to prevent any future billing. It isn't declard in large writing but I easilly read those details.
