Anthony Atwood a local Utah mortgage broker used our services first in 2019, and he received an extra tax refund of $20,000, by having us amend his prior year tax returns, based on info he provided. He paid our fees as agreed.

In 2020 he contracted with us again to complete his 2019 regular tax filing also using info he provided.  This year our CPA's got him over $14,000 in refund checks.

We operate almost as a non-profit and do not charge our clients until after they receive their tax refunds.   Atwood signed a contract, and had used us successfully the prior year.

When our clients pay our fees, it is usually after we have worked on their file for several months.  The fees they pay help us pay our overhead, and offer our services to other clients that also need help.

We made a mistake on his file that caused a two month delay for him to receive his tax refund, so we waited for our fees, and even discounted them 40% to make-up for the clerical error of typing an address digit one number off.  We worked with the IRS to correct the minor error.

Once he got paid, he refused to answer our messages, and ghosted us.  He also refused to pay our bills that he agreed to pay after he received his $14,000 tax refund that our CPA's worked for months to get him.

After I called and messaged him, and even offered to drive to his home or office to pick up a payment check, he finally made a payment arrangement that he did not keep.  He started filing negative  and dishonest reviews on our company on Facebook as a smokescreen to get out of paying our fees that were due after he received the refund.  He even said that I threatened him, which is not true.  I was just informing him that we had to take legal steps to protect our company from predators like him.

He finally made a small payment a day later.  A day after that he paid the discounted fee in full.  After getting caught trying to steal our fees, after posting all kinds of dishonest and lying about our company, he finally did the right thing and paid our fees months late.  But he only paid after I had to tell him that I would call the news channel and have picketers go in front of his house to tell the neighborhood about how he tried to steal our fees.  He continues to cause damage to our firm by posting dishonest, and one sided items about our company.  We did our work, fixed a clerical error, he got paid, and tried to rip us off.
