Antonio was very pushy like he was in hurry to close before i changed my mind. There closing cost was alot higher then other places, but the other company i chose before him turned my appraisal down saying my house wasn't worth it because of recent foreclosers. The other company that was cheaper i found bad reports on them. However he told me he was in hurry to get it in so i could have 2 months until my first payment was due. It missed by one day and i didn't find that out untill a week before the payment was due. Also the day before the signing my payment changed because he didn't caculate my taxes right. Only reasons i decide to go threw with it was cause i got my lower payment and interst rate like i wanted and the market wasn't very good at that time. It will take me 4 years to get back where i was where if my other deal would have went thre it would only taken 2 years. Just watch what you sign and shop around.

In response to Jason in PA

AUTHOR: Antonio G - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, May 16, 2009

I was an ex-employee of Foundation Financial Group. When I was working on Jason's loan, he decided at first to shop around or go to his own lender to refinance his home. This is when we already have an appraisal report completed. It was at least 3 to 4 weeks later that Jason called me back and told me his lender would not refinance his home because by their appraisal report, the property value came in too low. So Jason asked me if there is anything we can do for him. I told Jason that fortunately we still have our appraisal report and the value came in better, so we were able to close on the home within a matter of days. Jason did not like the fees we charge, but I explained to him that upfront. We gave him a good interest rate, and at this point no other lender could close on his home, he went ahead with the deal. I really didn't earn that much anyway because we actually lowered the fees. Since I was the loan officer on the loan, I was not sure how much money the company made. As for the taxes, the state of PA, I contacted the tax assessors office to make sure we are escrowing for the correct amount. The state of PA even has a school tax that had to be included.

Point to this story is that Jason still had an option. I didn't twist his arm or was pushy for him to take the deal. Remember, he called me back to see if we can do the loan since his lender could not.
