Please read reviews prior to ordering from this company, I wish I had.  Ordered a 48” Broan Range Hood $1,100.00.  Arrived in box that look undamaged (same as many others).  Even after we took the top of the box off it looked fine until we preparing to install and looked at the underneath which is severely dented and also appears to have manufacturer defects.  I was unable to lift item on my own and shippers didn’t offer to help.

Within a few days I contacted them about the damaged, defective item and waited 6 days for them to contact me about complaint.  When they did they were verbally abusive and threatening ( I don’t scare easy – I fight back).  Told them I would be contacting New York AG and Maine AG.  Aaron told me to go ahead as they were friends with the New York AG, which might explain why this company has gotten away with these tactics time and time again.

Aaron told me I was going to have to pay to ship it back – are you kidding me – you send me crap and I am supposed to pay.  Try that with someone else Aaron.  He told me he was a Brooklyn scumbag and that they knew how to “handle” people from Maine – what in the hell does that mean??????  That guy came up to Maine and approached people in this manner and he would leave with his tail between his legs – yes, I am sure he must have a tail.  I have purchased many items throughout my life as we all have, but have never encountered anyone so abusive, rude, crude and so many other adjectives.   I hung up on him as I do not deal with trash.

He called me back and said I would not have to pay for shipping and the item would be picked up and replaced at the same time but I would have to pay for item again – yes all
$1,100.00.  Never heard of such a thing and I have returned items before.  He told me he would send me an email with instructions on how to give them my cc info.  I told him I would be looking for it to hand over to my brother who is an attorney.  Guess what never received that email.  My brother by the way said “no way” and agreed the AG’s need to be notified which will happen first thing Monday morning.  It is appalling that we allow companies such as this to operate in our country.  In my opinion they need to be shut down and quickly.  There are so many reviews that are so similar in problems and AP tactics (too many to count), please do yourself a favor and do not order from this company or you too could become a victim.

This is an astounding number of complaints for one company.

I spoke to a woman yesterday who has waited 2.5 years for her refund.  They still keep insisting in order for me to receive an undamaged replacement I must pay for it again and then they credit it when the damaged is picked up.  Funny thing is they plan, according to them, to be picking up the damaged item at the same time they are delivering the new undamaged item.  Since when do you have to pay again to replace an item that is either damaged or has manufacturing defects.

Manufacturer Made Good not Appliances Connection

AUTHOR: stagestop - ()

POSTED: Monday, November 18, 2013

Well...the news is good, but not because of Appliances Connection as they never made good and just played games over the last two months. The manufacturer of the rangehood, Broan-nutone is replacing the damaged rangehood. They already picked up the piece of junk that has been sitting in my living room for the last two months plus and the new rangehood will be delivered Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013.

Broan is doing this at their expense, including pick up and delivery. It appears there are companies out there that care about their customers and their reputation.

So to all of you that have been victims of Appliances Connection appeal to the manufacturer and hopefully if they have to absorb the costs of companies like Appliances Connection they will stop them from selling their products. That is what would be ideal, stop this company in it's tracks.

Broan-Nutone - the highest ratings possible.
Appliances Connections - there aren't enough negative numbers to apply to this company.

Thanks Broan-Nutone.

Take Action!

I encourage anyone that has had the same horrific nightmare when purchasing through Appliancesconnection.com to contact the manufacturer.  Encourage that manufacturer to read the list of complaints against this company.  Most reputable companies do not want the reputation of their product to be damaged.  Companies have a considerable amount of control over who sells or does not sell their product.  The way to affect this company is through their ability to sell products and through their wallet.  Although the manufacturer may not be directly responsible for whatever has happened to your appliance, their products reputation is most definitely affected.  Hold the manufacturers feet to the fire.

Scam operation

AUTHOR: Jack azar - ()

POSTED: Thursday, October 10, 2013

appliancesconnection is a scam operation run out of Brooklyn by Albert Fouerti. They leave fake reviews on the internet and use search engine optimization techniques to advertise their criminal racquet. They knowingly send you damaged appliances and then threaten you when you try to return the merchandise.   They are associated with the 1stopcamera and fotoconnection scams.  Their delivery company A&B freight is also run by Albert And his wife Elie.  Avoid this company at all costs.  I also suggest contacting the AG and filing a credit card dispute. Contact the FTC while you are at it.  Put these lying criminals behind bars.

Which Appliances Connection Wrote This Rebuttal

AUTHOR: stagestop - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, October 08, 2013

Hey Appliances Connection employee have a backbone and submit your name.  You are far too tranparent.  No one there holds themselves accountable and reading the many, many horrific reviews you have no interest in cleaning up your act.  In other words Appliances Connection or Fotoconnection whoever you really are, you have no business ethics, integrity and suffer from an extreme lack of character in general.

Too many hands

AUTHOR: Tyg - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, October 08, 2013

You are claiming damage, but you have no proof that the company itself sent you a defective product. Im 100% sure you are neglecting the fact that shippers DO NOT handle your packages with the care that is nessasary. Given the weight of it that you claim, it stands to reason that the shippers ALSO had issues lifting it. As you claim the damages are on the bottom, it also stands to reason that the shipper dropped your items multiple times. When you make a claim of a defective product, you have to be able to prove that the company that you purchased it from did indeed cause the damages. All you can say with ANY certainty is that YOU recieved a damaged product. Given that it has already passed through a lot of hands, you need to direct both your anger and energies into hitting the shipper on this one.

See your original purchase covers the shipping costs. ANYTHING beyond on that you would have to pay for. As I said, all you can say is that YOU recieved a damaged item. You cannot realistically expect the company that you made your purchase from to eat the costs of shipping your item back. If you could prove that they truly sent you a defective product then they would have no choice but to pay for the shipping. But because you chose to order it through essentially mail order, you gave them a easy out. They will simply say that once it left their shipping facility it was NO LONGER their responsability. Hopefully you were smart enough to get shipping insurance.
